This is the band's debut release from 1985. Last Rough Cause from Darlington,
UK, went on to be featured on the split LP Skins'n'Punks with Societys
Rejects and another split LP with the Welsh punks Anhrefn. That was pretty
much it for all of the 80s. The band later reunited and released a few more
records. This debut 7", released in only 500 copies, nowadays goes for
over 150 euros a piece, so a reissue has been long due. Last Rough Cause play
very melodic punk rock not too dissimilar from The Crack, The Sect or Cock
Sparrer. Great melodies and choruses,
especially on the title track.

Formed in London in 1976, at the dawn of punk explosion, and still going
strong to this day, 999 are one of UK-s finest punk-rock bands of all-time,
and certainly one of the longest-lived ones on the scene. Intended to capture
the band on their extensive 1980 US tour, producer Vic Maile was flown to NYC
to record a show in Long Island. Unfortunately the tapes supplied didn't fit
the recording unit and so in order to save the already scheduled release,
recordings from an earlier London gig were used instead! First released in
the US in November 1980 'The Biggest Tour in Sport' consists of six songs
capturing the band's live excitement in performing several of their hits such
as 'Homicide', 'Emergency' and 'Feeling Alright with Crew'.

southern California punk trio Agent Orange was the first band to mix surf
rock with punk. The group was formed in1l979 in Placentia, a small town close
to Fullerton and Anaheim, by frontman Mike Palm on guitar and lead vocals,
Steve Soto on bass and Scott Miller on drums. That early line up recorded the
classic version of "Bloodstains" in 1979 as a demo produced by
Daniel R. van Patten (of the group Berlin). A year later it was included on
the seminal Rodney On The Roq compilation album released by Posh Boy Records.
Meanwhile James Levesque had replaced Steve Soto (Adolescents) and the new
line up released their own self produced and self released 7" ep in
1980. A year later, the group signed with Robbie Fields' Posh Boy Records for
their debut LP Living In Darkness, co-produced by Fields and former
Simpletones guitarist Jay Lansford. The album was recorded at Brian Elliott's
store front studio in North Hollywood (a few years before Elliott struck gold
writing Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach"). A milestone in California Punk Rock history.

experience. Laura passed away on May 19, 2008, after a half-year battle with

almost on a whim. Let's Start a War reached the Indie Chart Top 10 when first
issued in 1983, this album also includes the single 'Rival Leaders' which hit
No. 11 in the Indie Chart. A classic of the 'UK82' hardcore punk sound that

Legendary performance by Fowley and Chris Wilson of Barracudas/Flamin'
Groovies plus unknown band here named as Ivan Kral Band, which was
interrupted when go-go dancers came on stage and later ended by the
organizers. One of very few live recordings of Kim Fowley to survive and
amazingly, he survived this show as the audience boo-ed him off the stage.
The resentful backing band played with awkward but authentic garage fire, but
hadn't rehearsed properly and mid-show, the organizer asked the audience if
they wanted the show to continue and even though they emphatically replied
'YES!!!!', Fowley and the band continued on, oblivious to the jeering
audience. Eventually, he was -removed- from the stage. Tracks 1 through 9 are
all that remain of the original concert, 10 through 16 were recorded at a
rehearsal. Taped October 26th, 1992 in Berlin, featuring Chris Wilson of
Barracudas/Flamin' Groovies The first time Kim Fowley has ever recorded live
(anywhere!) Selections 1 to 9 were recorded before a Berlin Independence Day
audience, Oct 26, 1992, other selections from the rehearsal at Huxley's Neue
Welt at Oct 25, 1992.

In 1978 Iasos returned with an album consisting of 2 long peaceful
compositions: 'The Angels Of Comfort' and 'Angel Play'. These pieces are
extremely soothing, heavenly, loving, and peaceful, and it captures the
energies of love, on a galactic scale. It functions as a universal healing
comforting presence. This genre of music could be termed 'classical new age
music'. This album is a 'vibrational environment' of soothing loving angelic
feelings, very nurturing and comforting. The music can be used for creating a
sacred space, for meditating, body-work, visualization, hospice work,
emotional healing, and for tuning into angels. It is well suited for relaxing
the mind, body and spirit. When Iasos first released this album, it
immediately became an underground classic, due to its universal appeal. It
was the one of first albums that created a new music genre now known as @new
age music@. In addition, it still is one of the most cherished pieces of
music worldwide. 'Angelic Musi' was released on vinyl only once in 1989 on

The Jazz Epistles were the very first South African jazz group who broke away
from the swinging and danceable jazz forms in vogue during the 1950s. A group
formed by strong personalities like pianist Dollar Brand, later known as
Abdulah Hibrahim, trumpeter Hugh Masekela, saxophonist Kippi Moeketzi,
trombonist Jonas Gwangwa, bassist Johnny Getze and drummer Makaya Ntschoko. A
bunch of jazz modernists who already in the late 1950s, under the influence
of the American 'Bop' attitude began to switch on a more complex and hip
music style. In 1959 just before breaking up the Jazz Epistles released their
first and only album, a great piece of work which stands as the first album
released by a Black South-African band. A cultural manifesto as part of the
anti-apartheid struggle of the time.

Manfred Mann began his hit-making career in January 1964, when he wrote
5-4-3-2-1, the theme tune for a brand new TV show in the UK, Ready Steady Go.
Side One of this collection consists of live broadcast versions ofsome of
Mann's earliest records with Paul Jones on vocals. Jones left the group in
mid 1966 to pursue a solo career and the recordings on Side Two were made in
late 1966-67 by a new line-up with replacement singer, Mike D'Abo. It
includes an early version of D'Abo's celebrated song, Handbags And Gladrags
and the very first public airing of Dylan's The Mighty Quinn.

Now reissued is a Welsh cult private pressing rarity, originally from 1974.
Farmer and part-time musician Oliver Chaplin recorded this mind bending album
on a portable 4-track Teac reel-to-reel machine, assisted by his brother
Chris, an experienced BBC engineer who was involved in sessions with a.o. Syd
Barrett. Oliver sang and played acoustic and electric guitars, and plenty of
effects were used to create a very unique kind of DIY
mutant-psychedelic-blues (think Captain Beefheart) which sounded years ahead
of its time. Though the original LP was pressed in an edition of only 250
copies, it caught the attention of a.o. Virgin Records and J.J. Cale, but
Oliver decided not to get tangled up in the music industry. -Standing Stone-
is recommended to fans of a.o. Captain Beefheart, Syd Barrett, Fresh Maggots,
Comus, Magical Power Maco and Brian Eno. This vinyl reissue comes with a
thick sleeve, a download code, an obi, rare photos and liner notes by Richard
Allen.

Back in stock! Plasmatics were founded in 1977 when Wendy O. Williams
responded to manager, artist, provocateur, and punk rock scenester Rod
Swenson's casting call in the pages of Show Business Weekly for his theater
show, Captain Kink-s Sex Fantasy Theater. By 1978 they had recruited a full
band and were performing regularly at CBGB's, where they quickly rose from
playing once a week to performing two sold out shows a night during regular
four night a week runs. Their provocative and wild live show / which often
involved nudity and chain/sawed guitars - bridged the gap between punk rock
and performance art. They quickly became notorious up and down the east coast
and were signed to the legendary Stiff Records, who released their debut
album in 1980. A perfect blend of punk, new wave, and metal sensibilities,
with Wendy's tough, guttural drawl taking center stage, New Hope for the
Wretched is a classic piece of first wave New York City punk rock lovingly
back in print on LP from Radiation Reissues.

Stemming from a great legacy of poetry, Quintal de Clorofila was a duo from
the south of Brazil composed by two musician brothers, Dimitri and Negendre
Arbo, who turned their dad's poetry into music. In the album O Mistério dos
Quintais, the two brothers presented a Brazilian Hippie Folk full of
psychedelic touches a times with flanger effects, reverb and synthesizers, a
times totally raw with medieval melodies, flutes and strings. The record goes
with the original artwork, insert with lyrics plus unreleased photos
including the one of the debut album O Mistério dos Quintais featuring the
bird (a canary) that sang on stage with its own microphone.

By the time Ghetto Man Skank appeared on Jah Thomas' Midnight Rock imprint in
1983, Ranking Toyan was already a seasoned veteran of Kingston's soundclash
scene, having apprenticed with a number of smaller outfits before becoming
earning a slot with Henry "Junjo" Lawes' Volcano Sound and winning
widespread acclaim for his effortless, patois-laden delivery and his gruff
putdowns of rival DJs. Though Toyan had already cut a number of outstanding
sides for producer Don Mais, his collaborations with Lawes are undoubtedly
his definitive recordings. Ghetto Man Skank stands as the very best of these.
It boasts a set of simple, punishingly hard rhythms from the ace studio band
The Roots Radics, which Toyan dominates with ease. His ability to spill forth
unending streams of wordplay, streetcorner boasts, and infectious slogans is
truly remarkable, enlivening every song on this set. Though Toyan didn't
receive the same acclaim as fellow Volcano Sound DJs like Yellowman and
Eek-A-Mouse, his outstanding performances on Ghetto Man Skank prove he was
their equal in every respect.

Grauer) on piano, Tony Dumas on bass and Sherman Ferguson on drums. Szabo had
not had a band with this much jazz clout since his famed quartet with Jimmy
Stewart in 1967-68 - and it is a union worth savoring: Szabo's records during
this period were light, at best, on jazz. It's unclear if any of these
musicians are on the Agora date, but as Dumas's 'It Happens' opens the
program, it's a good bet, at least, that the bassist is on board here.

Repress! This comp has been released next to the 'jeunes gens modernes'
exhibition organised by AGNES B in Paris (3 avril-17mai 2008). This comp explore
the french vaults of french post punk, electro pop and french no wave.
Between the late 70s and mid-80s, in the wake of the punk wave and in
parallel to other types of music like disco, funk, ska and reggae, a prolific
and chaotic music scene began to develop in France, combining the energy of

A unique compilation of Electronic, Minimal, Synth, Wave and Avantgarde music
from ex-Yugoslavia. 'Electronic Jugoton' is the first part of two double
albums, where the second part will even go back to pre-electronic music from
1964. Both double albums were initially released by Croatia Records
(ex-Jugoton) in 2014 on a 2CD set with no less than two and a half hours of
material (47 songs, 35 performers), showing the contemporary trend of Jugoton
at that time towards avant-garde and provocative directions in electronic
music. Restored from the original master tapes by the veteran archive diggers
Viseslav Labos and Zeljko Luketic.

FROM THE SUN (AFTER HOURS 1990-91) 2LP
"Fell From The Sun" gathers the best of the 98bpm records that
soundtracked the summer of 1990. It has been compiled by Bob Stanley, whose
own group Saint Etienne makes an appearance alongside acknowledged classics
(Primal Scream's 'Higher Than The Sun') and forgotten beauties (Soul Family
Sensation's 'I Don't Even Know If I Should Call You Baby'). This was a
modernist sound, grabbing bits of the past, the feel of the immediate now,
and creating something entirely new. There was a notable 90s-does-60s vibe, a
neo-psychedelia that didn't involve guitars. For a moment, or at least for a
summer, it felt like the perfect future had already arrived. "Fell From
