ANTISEEN is an American punk rock band formed in Charlotte, North Carolina by
Jeff Clayton and Joe Young in 1983. The name "Antiseen" serves as a
deliberate deviation of the phrase "anti-scene" - the group not
wishing to adhere to standard perceptions of punk rock in specific and rock
music in general. Musically, Antiseen is influenced by groups such as the
Ramones and Stooges, employing short, heavily distorted power chord-driven
songs largely free of guitar solos or advanced musicianship. The band has a catalogue
of over 100 LPs, EPs, CDs and DVDs recorded with various line-ups and have
performed all over the world. "Eat more possum" is their most
acclaimed álbum, originally released in 1993 and row remastered for this
vinyl reissue. Years after crawling from the primordial ooze of rural North
Carolina, Antiseen proceed to bulldoze through the nineties with one quality
release after another. Eat More Possum is one of the greatest specimens of
gun totin', meat eatin', society rejectin' punk rock the Young / Clayton
posse ever laid to wax. Young's guitar tone is particularly grinding,
heartwarming like steelcutting machinery buzzing in your ear, capped by Jeff
Clayton's trademark ursine raving. Speedballs like "Star Whore" and
"Storm Trooper" are like chopper territory fights set to music,
while anthropological studies on southern attitudes like "Trapped in
Dixie" offer miles of perspective to the unfamiliar. The vegetarian
torturing anthem "Animals (Eat m)" may be the tastiest nugget in
this pannikin of dixie nihilism, and the boys nail one hell of a Ramones
cover along the way. This is an absolute must for fans of extreme punk rock

BEASTS - STILL HERE
After an extremely emotional final performance with the Beasts of Bourbon,
Tex Perkins hit upon the idea of getting all of the band's members, past and
present into a recording studio with no particular agenda other than to do
just that. It was more of a celebratory thing he had in mind than anything.
Sadly, bassist Brian Hooper didn't make it along as he passed away a week
after the Beasts last show.<BR> Assembled in Soundpark Studio a couple
of weeks later were, Charlie Owen, Boris Sujdovic, Tony Pola, Spencer Jones,
Kim Salmon and Tex Perkins. They were unprepared save for some some sketchy
ideas, loose ends and a couple of covers. With limited time the band knocked
together a collection of jams pretty much true to the crazy M.O. employed
back when The Axeman's Jazz got laid down in that fateful eight-hour session
in 1983. Songs weren't so much learned as ideas thrown together and recorded
the moment they began to coalesce. Captured were: Brian Hooper's What The
Hell Was I Thinking, James Baker's Drunk On A Train, Boris' Don't Pull Me
Over, Kim's Pearls Before Swine, Tex's On My Back and Just Let Go and
Spencer's At The Hospital.. There was Zappa's The Torture Never Stops, Warren
Zevon's My Shit's Fucked Up (was there ever a more appropriate cover for the
Beasts?'). Add to that some untitled jams that became the hilarious Your
Honour and Its All Lies. <BR> Sound like an Album? You Betchya! Deeply
sad is that Spencer was only around long enough to make it onto one track.
Absolutely wonderful is that he did make it onto the recording. And with such
a funny and typically Jones style piece of observation as At The Hospital.
<BR> With respect, this isn't the Beasts of Bourbon. It would need to
have Jonesy on every track to be that! But loudly and proudly this is: The

Bloodloss squealing and writhing in a swamp of sound where Captain Beefheart

street with such vigor that you can't help but cheer him them. Bloodloss'
sound might be a bit abrasive for Mudhoney fans, but their music is richly

overflow Punk, which remains their hallmark, with sharp guitars , wounded and

experimental part, together generating an interesting sonic boom (The Ramones
team up with Blue Oyster Cult in a particularly gloomy alley). Lovelock's
lyrics exude more optimism than on previous LPs and this peaks with 'Big

signature guitars, with another part that they began to play with after this

Gala Mill is the third studio album by Australian band the Drones, which was
released in September 2006. Recorded in an abandoned mill in Tasmania, it was
their last album to feature founding member Rui Pereira and the first to
feature Mike Noga on drums. The music, which makes "an epic leap beyond
garage rock", adds influences from folk rock and contemporary folk music
to their usual punk blues style. Gareth Liddiard's lyrics for the album are

"Wait Long by the River and the Bodies of Your Enemies Will Float
By" is the second album released by the Drones. The album draws
influence from the likes of Neil Young and The Birthday Party, though it has
been described by lead singer/guitarist Gareth Liddiard himself as a punk
rock album. The lyrics, penned by Liddiard, deal with issues such as death,
depression and alcoholism in its depiction of Australian working class life.
The album received critical acclaim upon release, regarded later on as the band's
"break-out" and one of their most popular releases. The track
"Shark Fin Blues", in particular, went on to become a concert
staple and was voted by contemporary Australian songwriters as the greatest
Australian song of all time in October 2009. The album itself was performed
live in its entirety many times, even as a part of the acclaimed Don't Look
Back concert series. In 2008, The Age ranked it the best Australian album of
the 21st century. Three years later, the band's contemporaries &
"industry experts" would vote it the 24th best Australian album of

MATANGO! had a few different birthplaces over the 2018-19 period: an old
house in the hills of Perth, back porches in Fremantle, a Prague apartment, a
French country villa in the swelter of summer, and a lonely pandemic piano...
A strange and sinewy beast of an album, it's something of a departure from
earlier KDH work: minimal, leering with glitching drums samples, synth
swells, empty spaces, and a soup of fat bass tones to float it all in.
Recording started about two weeks before lockdowns did in Australia, and so
everything went into that unique mode of hibernation for a while, but the
album beds were largely done, and work eventually recommenced, discovering
what was there, reshaping and re-recording some tracks, and throwing in an
experimental opening salvo (Survivor Guilt) which is largely free of regular
instruments, more a montage of samples and textures, written on a piano and
then deconstructed into a spectral hiss and wail... A few of the band members

- it's been a pretty complex journey, woven through with all that deep and
intense human learning (and lack of sleep). The album title obliquely refers
to the 1963 Japanese psychological horror film of the same name (directed by
Godzilla/kaiju maestro Ishiro Honda). Entwined in the lyrics are inferences
of global unrest and isplacement, near future scenarios, climate catastrophe,
pandemic vortices, the Simpsons, the grace of women, refugees and boat
people, Cold War paranoia, the creative process itself, and of course
Australia and its peculiar place in things. Cheery stuff. From the opening
ghost radio hums of Survivor Guilt, to the entrancing closing whispers of
violin on Weigh of a Woman, this album goes on a pretty strange and

anterior de KDH: Mínimo, mirando lascivamente con momentos de batería que
fallan, oleadas de sintetizador, espacios vacíos y una sopa de grasa, con un
bajo que hace todo flote. La grabación comenzó unas dos semanas antes del
cierre en Australia, y así ocurrió. En ese momento de hibernación, el álbum
estaba en gran parte terminado y finalmente se reanudó el trabajo,
descubriendo lo que había allí, remodelando y regrabando algunas pistas, y
comenzando una posibilidad de apertura hacia la experimentación (Survivor
Guilt) que está en gran medida libre de instrumentos convencionales, y es más
bien un montaje de samplers y texturas, compuesto en un piano y luego

About the album:
Love Battery were one of the most original bands to

Lydia Lunch: New York City's provocateur, poet, singer, author, performer and
actress. From fronting THE influential no-wave group Teenage Jesus and The
Jerks to her current musical incarnation as Big Sexy Noise, with Gallon
Drunk's noise makers James Johnston, Terry Edwards, and Ian White; countless
collaborations and projects in between Lydia has never played by anyone s
rules but her own. This 1991 collaboration with the Australian iconic cult
figure Rowland S. Howard is perhaps one of her most revered. Featuring
production by JG Thirwell (Foetus, Manorexia..) and drums by Jim Sclavunos
(Bad Seeds, Grinderman..) it s a veritable who is who of the post punk / no
wave scene of the time. Rowland S. Howard is no doubt best known for his work
with the Birthday Party, his discordant guitar an essential factor in their
sound. Howard sadly passed away from liver cancer in 2009. A hugely
influential alternative musician, in 2011 he was subject to a 110 min
documentary entitled Autoluminescent, by cult filmmakers Richard Lowenstein,
and Lynne Maree Milburn which received independent cinema release. Featuring
luminaries such as Nick Cave, Bobby Gillespie, Wim Wenders, and of
course...Lydia Lunch, the film highlights Howard s genius, talent, and
rightfully elevates him to the cult status he so deserves. With both parties
at the height of their respective talents, this is an alternative rock gem,
yet however maintains an atmosphere of eerie beauty throughout. Out of print

punk-rock champs The Meanies are diving back into the vaults to re-master and
re-issue this classic early release on vinyl. Forming in 1989, The Meanies'
catchy-as-hell, buzz-saw style of punk rock and a reputation for blistering
and often dangerous live shows quickly gained a cult following across
Australia. After releasing several sold-out 7"s via influential
Melbourne indie label Au Go Go. From November 1990 to March 1991 they
released a run of EPs and singles, as limited edition 7" vinyl discs.
Most of their material was written by Lindsay "Link Meanie"
McLennan. They toured Australia, including appearances at Big Day Out
festivals in 1992, 1993 and 1994. They supported local gigs by international
artists from 1992, Nirvana, Redd Kross, Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam and Bad
Brains. Their debut studio album, Come 'n' See, appeared in April 1992, which
was produced by Michael 'Ded' Kennedy and the Meanies. A PBS reviewer,
described how they "had established themselves as one of Australia's
pre-eminent underground rock bands through cultivating a huge all-age
following and upsetting the rock establishment by breaking attendance records
in the nation's capital cities. In 1993 The Meanies toured Europe and the
United States. While in the US they travelled to Seattle to record their

band has moved from Conrad Uno to veteran Seattle producer Jack Endino, who
also engineered the first releases from bassist Steve Turner and vocalist
Mark Arm's other band, Mudhoney. Also contributing to the rawness of the
record is the absence of Arm's trademark piano and organ. This enhances the
energy, causing you to notice a more frantic, electrified side of the band.
As on the debut album, Clean as a Broke-Dick Dog, several genres of music are
given equal time, including the country of "Thirteen Nights" and
"The Empty Place," the rockabilly of "The Weasel's in the
Barn," the Eastern modal quality of "Around Again," and the
noise rock of the closing number, "In the Days of the Five." The
Monkeywrench have grown in their ability to craft a song, and the result is a

The Nomads remastered reissue of their album Solna recorded by the Swedes in
2012. After many years of career, The Nomads produced their strongest album
to date. The group perfected their sound, live and in the studio. Solna is
the distilled essence of what Nomads are known for. The formula is simple: a
strong frontman, Nick Vahlberg, a guitar hero, Hans Ostlund, a powerful
drummer, Joakim Werning, and a multi-talented bassist and composer, Bjorne
Froberg. The Nomads are an institution in Europe after more than 40 years of
career. Their last album, "Solna" was named after the Stockholm
neighborhood from which they emerged in 1981, paving the way for the garage
rock scene of the time. Aside from the Pebbles compilations, not much was
known about the garage bands of the 60s and many people first heard those
great songs in The Nomads version" according to Chips K (famous Swedish

Radio KSG is a collaboration of musical friends from Sydney and Melbourne

Steedman has played guitar with The Celibate Rifles for 40 years and
participated in projects with Deniz Tek, Crent, Yage, La secta, Jim Moginie
and the Family Dog , Screaming Trees and others. Russell Barecivic has played
bass with Bored and Pray TV among others and is a solid well respected bass
player . Ben Brown sang in The Hellmen and is a globally respected artist and
designer from Sydney. He has done covers and posters for bands from
underground indie to Gun and Roses levels. Vince Donato plays drums from
Melbourne underground bands and has worked in labels and management in
Melbourne and globally. The band come together to create and share songs and
ideas with a guitar focus and an ironic observance of humanity and language.
Enjoying playing music and recording together with many years of experience.
The album Million in the Creek is the first collection of songs released and
recorded by the band over the last 2 years and the first Lp from the band.
All being well another will be completed by years end. The sound is tough ,
lively with an Australian edge and a commercial touch that pays homage to the
legacy of the members but an open minded approach to new versions of the same

SALMON, KIM & THE SURREALISTS - GRAND UNIFYING THEORY
En la dirección mostrada por Kim Salmon en el disco de los Scientists
"Human Jukebox" y en los 3 primeros discos de Kim Salmon & The
Surrealists, "Grand Unifying Theory" se presenta como un collage de
diferentes estilos e ideas. Canciones como "Turn turn" y
"Order of things" son ejemplos del desnudo minimalismo que fue/es
la marca de los Surrealists. Por otro lado, canciones como "RQ1" y
"Predate" muestran el lado Detroit y 70s Glam que inspiró a Kim
Salmon en su juventud. Pero más allá de reciclar el lado lineal de estos
estilos, Salmon logra emparejar a sus músicos junto a letras agresivas. Sirva
de ejemplo "Childhood living" donde se presenta una mordaz crítica
al hedonismo normalmente ligado al estilo de vida rockïnïroll y que Salmon
tan bien conoce tras convivir durante años con los Beasts Of Bourbon.
Asimismo se sumerge sin rubor en el punk más transgresor en temas como
"Kneel down at the altar of pop", donde parece estar sonando la
guitarra de Greg Ginn y sus Black Flag. Asimismo, mientras la mayoría de
canciones son impactos de energía envenenada, cinismo y análisis irónico, hay
que hacer especial mención a la/s pista/s instrumental que cubre durante casi
25 minutos la cara B del disco y que da título al mismo. Más allá de revisar
estilos pasados, Salmon da rienda suelta a la improvisación jazzy, sobre la
muscular e insistente base rítmica, donde te cruzas con sus primeros
Surrealists a la vez que con Sun Ra, Coltrane y Can. Y a pesar de su larga
duración, el tema no decae en la tentación de la autoindulgencia. En
conclusión, y como ya hiciera tanto él mismo, como sus fans Sonic Youth y
Pussy Galore en el pasado, Kim Salmon continua redefiniendo su legado en un
viaje sónico personal que sigue dañando los oídos de los oyentes con sonidos
abrasivos en su línea habitual y, cuando menos, alejada de los circuitos

American Punk-Rock group formed in 1976 in Chula Vista, California. The band
was originally formed with Javier Escovedo (vocals/guitar), Robert Lopez
(guitar), Héctor Penalosa (bass) and Baba Chenelle (drums). Often referred to
as "the Mexican Ramones," they were just one of many contributors
to the city of Los Angeles' Punk explosion in the late '70s. Although they
never received the acclaim like their contemporaries Black Flag, Circle Jerks
or Germs and Wipers. The quartet broke up in 1981, reformed sporadically for
live shows, and recorded a 1999 album "Right Now!". They have more
followers and fans outside of the United States, especially Europe and Spain
in particular. The album "Right Now!" was published on October 12,
1999. The band had broken up in 1981, but returned in the 90s, and although
they did not have a large "cache" in the United States, they were
and continue to be very popular in Europe and Australia. Versions of songs by
The Zeros were released by the Los Angeles bands Wednesday Week ("They
Say That Everything's Alright"), The Muffs ("Beat Your Heart
Out"), the Basques La Secta ("Wild Weekend"), the Australians
Hoodoo Gurus or the Swedes The Nomads ("Wimp"). The label "the
Mexican Ramones" did not take into account their other revealing
influences: pre-Punk and Garage-Rock bands. THE ZEROS make it evident on this
album, releasing covers of New York Dolls among others. But the originals,
the examples "They Say (That Everything's Alright)" and
"Handgrenade Heart", also exploit the spirit of loud, strident
rock. There are also slow and melodic, sloppy and dirty Pop songs to satisfy

de canciones de The Zeros fueron editadas por las bandas angelinas Wednesday
Week ("They Say That Everything's Alright"), The Muffs ("Beat
Your Heart Out"), los vascos La Secta ("Wild Weekend"), los
australianos Hoodoo Gurus o los suecos The Nomads ("Wimp"). La etiqueta
de "los Ramones mexicanos" no tuvo en cuenta sus otras influencias
reveladoras: bandas de pre-Punk y de Garage-Rock. THE ZEROS lo hacen evidente
en este álbum, sacando versiones de New York Dolls entre otros. Pero los
originales, los ejemplos "They Say (That Everything's Alright)" y
"Handgrenade Heart", también explotan el espíritu del Rock ruidoso
y estridente. Hay también temas de Pop lento y melódico, descuidado y sucio
para satisfacer todo los gustos. La musicalidad es un punto con este álbum.
Recordar que en los años 70 eran unos adolescentes. Grabando este disco +20
años después tienen mejor dominio sobre sus instrumentos y han ganado
experiencia. Un disco excelente. Ideal para pasarlo bien y disfrutar de buen
Rock. Además, para los que no conocen a THE ZEROS, excelente álbum de
introducción, para después poder repasar su catálogo.

BEASTS - STILL HERE
After an extremely emotional final performance with the Beasts of Bourbon,
Tex Perkins hit upon the idea of getting all of the band's members, past and
present into a recording studio with no particular agenda other than to do
just that. It was more of a celebratory thing he had in mind than anything.
Sadly, bassist Brian Hooper didn't make it along as he passed away a week
after the Beasts last show.<BR> Assembled in Soundpark Studio a couple
of weeks later were, Charlie Owen, Boris Sujdovic, Tony Pola, Spencer Jones,
Kim Salmon and Tex Perkins. They were unprepared save for some some sketchy
ideas, loose ends and a couple of covers. With limited time the band knocked
together a collection of jams pretty much true to the crazy M.O. employed
back when The Axeman's Jazz got laid down in that fateful eight-hour session
in 1983. Songs weren't so much learned as ideas thrown together and recorded
the moment they began to coalesce. Captured were: Brian Hooper's What The
Hell Was I Thinking, James Baker's Drunk On A Train, Boris' Don't Pull Me
Over, Kim's Pearls Before Swine, Tex's On My Back and Just Let Go and
Spencer's At The Hospital.. There was Zappa's The Torture Never Stops, Warren
Zevon's My Shit's Fucked Up (was there ever a more appropriate cover for the
Beasts?'). Add to that some untitled jams that became the hilarious Your
Honour and Its All Lies. <BR> Sound like an Album? You Betchya! Deeply
sad is that Spencer was only around long enough to make it onto one track.
Absolutely wonderful is that he did make it onto the recording. And with such
a funny and typically Jones style piece of observation as At The Hospital.
<BR> With respect, this isn't the Beasts of Bourbon. It would need to
have Jonesy on every track to be that! But loudly and proudly this is: The
Beasts Still Here. <br> Deluxe digipack edition!

The Butcher Shop was the project developed by Tex Perkins, at the same time
as Beasts Of Bourbon, in the late 80s. In this band, the artist showed his
wildest, brutal and sonic side, walking amont swamp blues and grunge (before
the name "grunge" existed for music) In this sonic adventure Mr.
Tex Perkins was surrounded by several musicians, such as people from
Lubricated Goat, Beasts Of Bourbon (Spencer P. Jones) or the American
musician Kid Congo Powers (The Gun Club, The Cramps, Nick Cave & Bad
Seeds...) among others. Here you will find, among other wonders, the original
version of the song which became a hit afterwards with Beasts Of Bourbon,
"hard for you". This edition compiles the LP and EP released by
this band in between 1988 and 1990, and which are totally impossible to find
nowadays. These 15 tracks are all the band recorded. Limited edition deluxe
on double gatefold LP (500 handnumbered copies) and triple cover digipack CD,
noted by Tex Perkins, and with never previously released pictures, it is proudly
presented by Bang! Rcds in order to put again in the market this master piece
of sonic swamp sound.
