I need to move to a mysql setup with my Munki Server I followed the out of the box setup and now that the Proof of Concept stage is over I want to move to a better database environment. How do I move to a mysql setup without loosing the data that I have in my sql lite database or does it even matter? Will the users that I already have enrolled need to be re-enrolled? Will they hit the server and just automatically update the new database with their info? Any help is appreciated!

Only you can decide that.

What does that mean? If your MWA server starts storing its data in MySQL instead of sqlite3, why would your clients know or care? If you change the hostname, URL or port --- then your clients will not know how to find/connect to it.

I'd say yes, but I may be making assumptions about what you are intending to do.

Hi Jon,

Do you have a Munkiserver setup or a Munki Web Admin setup? You posted to the Munkiserver list, but I also see that Greg said "your MWA". Regardless, what he said is valid in both cases.

If you are running Munkiserver take a look at this page on the wiki:

Sorry -- I was in MWA brain mode; but my comments should apply to munkiserver as well.
