Switching MWA from sqlite to MySQL

Hello!

I'm seeing occasional "Database is locked" errors when attempting to access MWA.

Going by this thread:


this is likely due to our install using sqlite rather than MySQL.

I don't have much experience with SQL of any flavour. Can anyone offer any advice on switching over?

I had the same issues and switching to MySQL fixed it.

The big word of advice I’d have is make sure you create the database using UTF-8 as your charset. Otherwise you will get errors. This post was helpful to remind me of the syntax:


The Ubuntu setup instructions (https://github.com/munki/munkiwebadmin/wiki/MunkiWebAdmin%20Ubuntu%20Setup) show how to set up a mysql database with a web GUI using phpmyadmin if you’re more comfortable going that route than CLI.
