Error importing

I followed Getting Start with Munki from 2015. It would be awesome so re-do a similar video (the "Demo" part) in 2026 :-)

When running munkiimport ~/Downloads/UTM.dmg from Shared, I am getting an error

I'm not sure why it's trying to access to /Volumes/pkgs here, but I'm very new to Munki.

It's definitely more difficult to update videos, but there are written instructions on the wiki:

Did you do the munkiimport --configure step?

I'd recommend starting over and just going with the wiki page.

The confusion was, that in the video, there are 2 lines in —configure

Path to munki Repo: /Users/Shared/munki_repo

Repo fileshare URL: (nothing)

While now (and I guess since a few years), it’s only

Repo URL: file:///Users/Shared/munki_repo

With that, I can now run Munki — although it’s mostly to learn / teach about MDMs and alike, no actual production need for now.

The biggest problem is actually the resolution from that video from 2015. It’s VGA. I’m tempted tp ask the MacSysAdmin guys if they have at least an HD version of it ;-)
