Hello,

I'm new to this group and new to Mac Administration, so be gentle.

I've worked through the demo and have munki working with packages like Cyberduck and firefox. I'm having a problem with the Adobe CC packages installing. I created them using the Adobe Admin console package creator. I've created a separate universal package for each app I need. I've run them through munkiimport and they imported correctly with the exception of a few that I need to edit the version #.

I tested using two packages that did not have version # issues. Both packages give me the same error when I try to install them on the client machine. The ManagedSoftwareUpdate.log states:

           Mounting disk image packagename.dmg
            Starting Adobe Installer...
ERROR: Adobe Setup error: -9: Unknow error
WARNING: Polite Unmount failed: b'hdiutil: detached failed - No such file or directory\n'

I also get a popup saying the install.pkg "cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified" macOS cannot verify that this app is free of malware.

I've tried a couple of packages and get the same error, installed a package directly, not through Munki and it worked and then tried changing the installer type in Munki to blank and got the same error.

This is on a brand new Macbook pro (m1 max) and a 2017 iMac. Both are running a version of Monterey but not the same build. One is on 12.2.1 and the other is on 12.1.

I'm at a road block.

Hey Robert, welcome to the community. :)

The packages that are failing - are they definitely Universal installers? I'm assuming you're trying to install on the iMac - what OS is it running?

I found this list of Adobe installer errors, and it seems like error 9 is "unsupported OS version":

Then again, it might not be clear what's going on. You might want to pop into the MacAdmins Slack (register at macadmins.org) and join the #adobe and/or #munki channels.

Thank you Mike.

Sorry for the late reply. I got pulled in another direction. :)

Thanks for the link. Yes, they are definitely Universal installers. I had assumed that the error code was a Munki warning and not the Adobe installer. :/ I'll try downloading an Apple silicone only package plus an Intel only, test and report back later.
