When I try to run createOSXinstallPkg to create a package for Sierra, I get the following error.

Examining and verifying source...

Error: "hdiutil: attach failed - Resource busy

" while mounting InstallESD.dmg.

Could not mount diskimage /Applications/Install macOS Sierra.app/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallESD.dmg

I know the read me states it only supports 10.7-10.11,  but how can I get around this?

Is it already mounted?

Type `mount` and look.

Launching "Install macOS Sierra.app" will cause InstallESD.dmg to mount; quitting the app does not trigger an unmount...

Yes, I run into this all the time. It won't show as a mounted disk image in Finder (by default), but if you go to Disk Utility, you'll see it mounted there and can unmount it (or using the command line, of course).

`hdiutil eject /Volumes/foo` to unmount a diskimage via the command-line.
