Update macOS Catalina to Big Sur Download error -1004: Could not connect to the server. Error

Hello. 

I finally was able to update our Munki Server to a new MACOS (Big Sur).

I removed Server (as it is pretty deprecated now) and followed the instructions here.

Demonstration-Setup

The only difference I did was that I changed this to an external HD

Instead of this

sudo ln -s /Users/Shared/munki_repo /Library/WebServer/Documents/

I did this.

sudo ln -s /Volumes/RAID/munki_repo /Library/WebServer/Documents/

I started Apache and when I go to http://localhost on the machine I get an OK.

I also get this when going to the URL from another machine. But when I do a 

sudo managedsoftwareupdate -vvv

I get this.

What am I missing? Did I miss something when scrubbing the old Server app off of this?

Did you check to see that web server has access to this external Location?

Can you navigate to "http://ccc-macdeploy.floridapoly.org/munki_repo/manifests/Testing” in your web browser?
