All,

This is my first post, so go easy:-) I've added pkginfo files for Apple updates to my MUNKI repo and it all works great. I would just like some clarification/guidance on the following:

I'm thinking of adding the "display_name" metadata key to the pkginfo file for easier identification in MunkiAdmin. So I'm trying to decide between creating further pkgsinfo directory sub folders, or adding the "display_name" metadata key.

What are the pros and cons?

I keep my apple_update_metadata pkginfos in a separate directory (pkgsinfo/appleupdates). I also use the original update title as a display_name so that I can identify them in MunkiAdmin.

The only thing to keep in mind is that the display_name is of course displayed to the user. I create my apple update pkginfos with SUS Inspector (https://github.com/hjuutilainen/sus-inspector) and the end result looks like this in MunkiAdmin:

Thanks Hannes. This was just the sort of clarification/guidance that I was looking for. - Chris
