I have munki set to deploy iMovie 10.1 to my fleet of macs. We noticed though that even though the program gets installed, it doesn't have any share menu items within the program, so you cannot share/export movies from iMovie.

Any ideas why this happened or how to fix it? We are running 10.10.x on all the macs.

Hi, Eric.

I'm also deploying via Munki, and I'm seeing the share buttons:

Any chance it's an accidentally corrupt package you're pushing out?

Is it showing the share button on the source client but not on the ones being pushed to by Munki? Or is it all the same?

All the deployed macs seem to have NO shared items. The deploying mac seems to have the shared items. Very strange.

Are you using this technique: https://github.com/munki/munki/wiki/App-Store-Apps or are you using the “capture a package while the App Store is installing” technique to get something for Munki to install?

If the former, have you checked on a machine other than the one on which the App Store initially performed the installation?

I am deploying the first way. Do I need to do the other way?

I know this is going to sound like a silly question, but is there an actual movie to share?

If I create a movie, my sharing button is grayed out until I actually start putting clips in—then the sharing menu appears.

We are in investigation mode right now. We’re just asking questions and collecting data.

What is in the File->Share… menu? I’d expect it to list the exact same sharing “destinations”.

Do you have a configuration profile that restricts sharing options?

File - Share is working over here, as is the share button itself. Perhaps your initial app was damaged.
