In the beauty that is GotoMeeting one of the issues we have ran across is that depending on what version of GotoMeeting the server we a connecting to is, it requires a different version of the GotoMeeting Client to be installed.

But when I try to do a package info on any of the different versions of GotoMeeting from here http://support.citrixonline.com/en_US/Meeting/help_files/G2M010014?Title=Install+via+DMG+%28Mac%29 it always uses the same name so it treats it as an update of the same package which unfortunately won't work due to their client is not backwards compatible.

I was going to try to do an package info a try changing the name to the way it's on the computer for example this is a directory listing for all gotomeetings apps on an existing computer.

GoToMeeting (1312).app
GoToMeeting (1350).app
GoToMeeting (1440).app
GoToMeeting (1468).app
GoToMeeting (1555).app
GoToMeeting (1558).app
GoToMeeting (1669).app
GoToMeeting (1767).app
GoToMeeting (1796).app
GoToMeeting (1831).app
GoToMeeting (1848).app
GoToMeeting (1865).app
GoToMeeting (1960).app
GoToMeeting (2031).app
GoToMeeting (2033).app
GoToMeeting (2128).app
GoToMeeting (2130).app
GoToMeeting (2152).app
GoToMeeting (2185).app
GoToMeeting (2331).app
GoToMeeting (2352).app
GoToMeeting (2377).app
GoToMeeting (2379).app
GoToMeeting (2392).app
GoToMeeting (2417).app
GoToMeeting (2457).app
GoToMeeting (2489).app
GoToMeeting (2491).app
GoToMeeting (2492).app
GoToMeeting (2539).app

I can create packages for each but wanted to look ask if anyone has experience with this before I spent the time.

Thanks

I would suggest not to provide GoToMeeting through Munki. When I did, I found myself with the same problems as you, and a lot of complaints from users. About a year ago I discovered that users could download the correct version of GoToMeeting just before the meeting began, and run that version from their home directory, without requiring admin privileges. So I removed GoToMeeting from Munki, and instructed my users to download and run it themselves, and I haven't heard complaints since (apart from the occasional 'why is G2M not in MSC'?). Your users have to be allowed to download and install the client in their home folder though.

Another option is to have your users use the recently released web-based client (I think it's officially called the 'GoToMeeting Web App'). One of my colleagues tweeted a few days ago that it worked quite well.

Finally, there is an AutoPkg recipe that you can try, but I've never used that myself (https://github.com/autopkg/thenikola-recipes/tree/master/GoToMeeting).

Every time your user connects to a Go To Meeting session, if the host is running a different version, GTM is going to dump that version on your user's machine... It's all with how GTM does things, which is badly from a Mac Admin standpoint. I think even the web-based client still wants to dump a stub on the local machine, we try to avoid the product around here.
