ICT (Institute of Chemical Technology, Matunga) in its annual festival
EXERGY-12 is organizing a Model Indian Parliament.
Model Indian Parliament (MIP) is a simulation of the Indian
Parliament. The members will be equally divided into the Treasury
benches and the Opposition. The Treasury Benches will have various
ministers and the opposition will be led by the leader of opposition.
The session will start with a Question Hour in which members will put
forward questions to the ministers. This will be followed by a
discussion of a bill of current popularity and importance. The bill
will be introduced by the minister and will then be debated in the
house. Members can suggest amendments to the bill and after the
discussion is over the bill and the amendments will be put to vote.

The shortlisting will be done on the basis of an essay to be submitted
by the 8th of Jan. The details of the same can be found on the link.

Dear all,
The ICT (UDCT) Matunga Model Indian Parliament is on the 22nd of Jan.
The MIP is a great plattform to debate and suggest policy measures at
a time when the relevance of our parliament is being debated. Don the
role of a lawmaker and introduce bills and suggest amendments and
experience the thrill of parliamentary debates.
