Now my problem is that the virtual keyboard is not displayed when accessing a text input box in GTK, due to the fact that Weston implements the interfaces for zwp_text_input_manager_v1, while gtk only supports zwp_text_input_manager_v3 (see link). However, if I use weston-editor, the virtual keyboard is displayed. Anyway, this is another problem (I will try Xorg/X11; hopefully, this problem will be gone).

Use your computer mouse or keyboard to play the virtual piano keyboard (or the device touch screen for mobile devices). You can view the corresponding computer keyboard letters by activating the Real Keys feature. For the entire keyboard spectrum, click it twice.

Metronome The Metronome feature enables you to play at a regular tempo. Use it to improve your timing.
You can adjust the Metronome based on BPM (beats per minute) or time signature.

A virtual piano keyboard is perfect when there isn't a real piano or a keyboard at home or when your piano or keyboard isn't next to a computer. The online piano keyboard simulates a real piano keyboard with 7 1/4 octaves of 88 keys (only five octaves for mobile devices), a sustain pedal, ABC or DoReMe letter notes representation, a Metronome, zoom-in, and a full-screen mode.

Use your computer keyboard or click the piano keys to play the piano. The keyboard's top row of letters corresponds to the white keys, and the row of numbers corresponds to the black keys. You can play multiple notes simultaneously.

Click "Hide note names" above the piano to hide the note names. Click "Mark" to mark notes on the piano. Play the marked notes by clicking the "Play" button (only visible after notes have been marked) or pressing the spacebar on your keyboard.

Try our free piano exercises and learn to play notes, intervals, chords, and scales on the piano. You'll also find a variety of other exercises that will expand your musical understanding and help you become better at playing the piano.

2 days ago the sound on my virtual keyboard disappeared. I been using it all the time when I have instruments track. there has not been a problem so far. but now there is no sound when I hit a key on the keyboard. I can see that I hit the key but there is no sound in the project. wireless kboard but no problems with the battery. a horse for any good advices.

The keyboard which is used is not good when I want to edit some existing text. It is not possible to move the caret, it always overwrites all existing (which can be annoying, if you have a longer text).
A keyboard which does this better is the one, which is used when changing a feature name.

@jbm Ok, the use case is that the user needs to change the text that he previously typed (e.g. correcting a typo or adjust the value of just one character (e.g. a state number)):

This is an example for sending commands to an external HMI (where the string is quite large (> 20 chars)).

Or, imagine, we have a lot of similar instances (of this URcap), where only a little portion of the text differs, so the user uses copy-paste and wants to change the new ones a little bit.
In the current situation, he needs to type it every time all over again.

If you were the user and I (as the provider of this URcap) tell you, that you cannot correct/change portions of the text, but instead you have to remember the (complete) previous text and type it all over again, how would you deal with this?

There are spots within the current Polyscope where we have the same issue, I believe for instance popups and the user assignment screen where once you have entered the text that you want the user to see you cannot edit it (with the built-in keyboard, have to use an external keyboard). Annoying is not even the right word for it., especially when you cannot even see all of what you typed on the same screen and you now have to retype all of it to fix a single typo.

This example is written to take 3 arguments: a value that will appear by default in the field when clicked (almost always just pulling the .getText() of the object) , a minimum value, and a maximum value.

There are no virtual keyboards installed by default. Choose an appropriate one from List of applications/Utilities#On-screen keyboards, for example the Maliit keyboard, and install it. Then enable it in System Settings.

I am new to Bitdefender Safepay and find the virtual keyboard is relatively small and as the keys show multiple characters it is difficult to use and can lead to errors. It would be good if the keyboard acted in same way as other virtual keyboards (eg Microsoft On-Screen keyboard) which use 'Shift' to alternate between upper and lower case keeping individual key images less cluttered. In addition being able to adjust the overall size of the keyboard (as Microsoft On-Screen keyboard) would be a definite benefit.

The Safepay virtual keyboard does not have options for customization. However, I have noted your suggestion and I will forward it to our development teams for analysis, as we always encourage our users to share their ideas and tell us what features they would like to see in the product. We collect and send the valuable feedback received from our members on a monthly basis and if the features can be implemented, you will find them in the upcoming releases.

Safepay virtual keyboard is still way too small! I have complained about this multiple times over past two years. Isn't there a way you at Bitdefender, can finally enable the keyboard to be made larger -- or, frankly, just set it so it is about twice the size! It is extremely difficult for nearsighted people to use.

I think it really depends on the size of your display/PC monitor, but the concept behind the virtual keyboard is to keep a low profile while typing sensitive data, therefore making it bigger than it is defies its stealth purpose.

Exactly, apart from defending against keyloggers, the keyboard's size was designed with privacy in mind. So, let's say that you are in a public place, airport or terrace and you need to make a quick transaction while connected to the public WI-FI and there are lots of prying eyes around, you want that virtual keyboard to be as less visible as possible.

Please confirm that my traditional keyboard is secure, once I have clicked on the virtual keybord icon and the keyboard appears on my screen. The BD User Guide says: "It comes with a virtual keyboard which, when used, makes it impossible for hackers to read your keystrokes." I thought 'when used' meant I had to click on the Safepay virtual keyboard keys on my screen. I have trouble using it, particularly since there is no visual or audible feedback to tell me that I have clicked, and only clicked once).

The virtual keyboard is just another option, a layer of protection when in a public location..it's harder for "them" to see you mouse clicking or tapping on a smaller virtual keyboard than your bigger laptop keyboard.

I recently installed KDE Plasma Ubuntu and every time I log in my user account a virtual keyboard shows up on the screen covering half of if. I will never use that keyboard so how can i get rid of it?

I believe in Gnome it is called onboard and can be launched from the Settings > accessibility screen. Of from alt+F2 keyboard shortcut and typing in onboard and hitting enter.
If this does not work, you may need to install it:

From your screenshot, it looks like your Local Region and Language is set to English (US).
I believe that this is why it is defaulting to English.
I agree, though... If your local language was set to Urdu, would the keyboard not switch to English when you need it?

OK - We're not Support, or any flavour of Evernote - mostly users here. If you have an access issue please contact Support. No idea what may have caused your issue except the current version of the iOS client doesn't seem to be that well liked. There may be updates in the pipeline. Please do specify what version of Evernote you have, and what external keyboards are attached (if any).

I can change the smaller keyboard when clicking on the settings icon you've highlighted. I can then change it to tablet, or other different on-screen keyboards, I've tried clicking the 'X' to quit but it won't go away. Maybe it's a bug not related to photoshop? I just thought it is because it happens when I'm using it, also it shows up a lot when I'm renaming group folders with my pen tablet.

Goodness Ged. That's really useful. I always struggle to bring up the keyboard when using my Cintiq Companion 2. It only really gets used when I'm travelling by air, and I don't actually like it, but all the same, that's a great shortcut, and one I didn't have despite having a big list of Windows shortcuts.

I haven't been able to reproduce the virtual keyboard that won't close. So it fixed itself. May have been windows updates or drivers, or maybe photoshop update that came in from the cloud. I waited for 3 weeks before posting, I think it's safe to say it's gone.

Now there's only one virtual keyboard left, it's more of an annoyance and distraction, it pops everytime I rename a layer or folder and will close as soon as I use the keyboard to start typing/renaming. I've read somewhere it's a feature and it can't be disabled? I rather label it as a bug than feature tbh.

I recently bought a HP Spectre x360 - 13-4159nd and I noticed when switching the laptop into tablet mode, no virtual keyboard shows up. In the settings I've turned on the option to Optimise Windows when the device is being used as a tablet, but this just switches the screen to tablet mode while I'm still using it in laptop mode. The option is also automatically turned off again, when switching between different modes. In the settings -> devices -> typing the option to automatically show the screen keyboard when no physical keyboard is attached to the device is turned on. Is there any way to solve the problem of the missing virtual keyboard?
