Join us for 1 Billion Rising St. John's! Valentine's Day, Thursday,
Feb14th. 4pm - 10pm Knights of Columbus Hall St. Clare Ave. A free
community event happening around the world! Entertainment, food,
raffles, information tables, networking & dancing!
Description
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Vagina Monologues, author Eve
Ensler created "1 Billion Rising". She's asking 1 billion women & men
across the globe to dance in the streets, in their workplaces, schools
or homes to raise awareness about violence against women and to
celebrate the work we are all doing to end this violence. Check out
their website. It's pretty neat! www.onebillionrising.org
We're answering the "call" in St. John's Centre and invite you to join
us at "1 Billion Rising St. John's", an indoor community bazaar!
Starting at 4pm, there'll be information booths, food by the
Mulicultural Women's community, raffles, auctions, entertainment, and
dancing with the Salty Dolls starting at 7pm.
Open to the public, admission is free! Something for everyone!! Save the
date for dancing : Thursday, Feb 14th at the Knights of Columbus, St.
Clare Ave, 4 pm to 10 pm. For more info contact us at 729-2638.
Bring a friend! Share this far and wide!
