Whatmore can I say except: I love the show. I love the story, the characters, the ending, everything about it. So, itshould come as no surprise to people that I'm giving this show a 10. It had its problems, but for me, it's oneof the few shows out here I actually consider a masterpiece, and I highly recommend it to everyone out there.
If is one thing in Anime well deserved to score 10 out the 10, Fullmetal Alchemist is the one Anime who well deserve aperfect score. Wherever the 2003 ver or the Brotherhood (thought, I prefer to Brotherhood since it based of the manga),this is an anime where you will never regret watching and admiring this masterpiece.
FMA is one of the classics for good reason: great animation, music and characters. The brotherly bond between Ed and Alis great to watch; the side characters get quite a lot of focus; the alchemy is COOL; the humor is actually hilarious;the story poses interesting questions regarding the human condition and what is permissible. Some have listed"filler episodes" as complaints, but watching most of the episodes back-to-back...nothing really feels likefiller; having the Elric brothers ONLY looking for the Philosopher's Stone would be boring, whereas the episodesthat don't focus on it give the series flavor, IMO. I will only deduct some for the ending episodes, which I feeltook a bit of a dip in quality compared to the rest. Otherwise, this is an absolute must watch, IMO.
Brotherhood: the rushed pacing in the beginning can confuse you if you're not familiar with the story (which FMABassumes you are), but, as a sucker for good characters getting happy endings, the ending is more satisfying than in the2003 version. IMO, with both their faults and highlights, both series are on about the same level.
10 absolutely! I love this serie! I am watched all episodes from FMA & FMA Brotherhood, and I read it too. I likefantasy and adventure, so this is all of it and more! This is excellent! And I am going to watch them again. Soundtrackof FMA Brotherhood is... Awesome! If you are searching for something fantasy and adventure serie, FullMetal Alchemist isgreat one!
Yeah, um it was the 3rd anime i saw in my life very wonderful and i have even watched the full metal alchemist movie aswell and also acquire a DVD of it because I'm a big fan i love the story line cause it (the show) had explained itscharacter very nicely and yes it shows the all over story of two brothers from childhood to adult there are many littleanime like that in the block which contains one season story. but i love it and wanted one more season to occur and iguess many more would have wanted to see it more ..... i wished that a more seasons come
uh but the story was over in many ways colonel achieved what he wanted and both brothers were satisfied well this showdeserves 9.25
well this is the second anime which i saw in my life :)
first i was not into anime that much later one day i know it was april my birthday was on run and my little bro WELL HISNAME IS ALSO EDWARD! asked me when i was studying to see this anime i was angry at first but it was th3rd or 4th episodegin and i liked it then i have mentioned that i own it completely thats because as you see i missed the first 2-3episodes so i downloaded them then i thought that my holidays are over and my school is gonna start so i started buyingit online and so there is a pack of DVD of fullmetal alchemist 3 episodes in one dvd well my thirst finished at firstalbum because i didnt watche d them SO WHAT!!! i took all of um :3 !!!! well ciao i have to go for my highschool!!!!!!!!!
For the most part, alchemy is presented as a limited-type of craft. It is very precise and much is still unknown. Theidea of automail is interesting as an advancement on artificial limbs. Izumi Curtis is a rather amusing and tragiccharacter.
I like the story, character development and relationships, the whole psychological and philosophy background(homunculus, Philosophical rock, soul and body, equivalent exchange, the collective mind and the unconscious, etc.). Inaddition, humor is also not bad. But in the end the whole story has slipped into the mass brawl, and most of thequestions did not get answers
I'm a huge fan of FMA, and I loved both anime because (just like the manga), an episode could make you cry andthen laugh without it feeling awkward. The story is so deep, and the bond between Ed and Al is one of the bestdepictions of a family I've ever seen. Those brothers live for each other, and I can't help but to admirethem.
Brotherhood took some time to grow on me, though : I was always comparing the first anime and the "new one",but when I told to myself to appreciate each of them for their own qualities and to consider them as two differentstories with the same premises, it became one of my favourites anime.
One heck of an anime with all the alchemy, after watching the anime I started to clap my hands the way Ed does whenhe's about to perform an alchemy, it really feels satisfying. Hehe! I really like Ed's funny side the way hegets annoyed when he's called short, that's really humorous. I like envy from among the homunculus his abilityto change faces is really awesome and his homunculus form is a dragon is really awesome(but in brotherhood it's adisgusting creature.)
The plot is really nice and the tragic ending is nice too.
FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST from what was the anime of 2003 including the faithful anime adaptation of the manga in 2009, is amasterpiece, really making an anime with that quality, humor, drama, soundtrack, twists the story is beautiful, also hasan end (that of 2009) which is quite nice and leaves one satisfied.
I saw everything including movies, short films, specials and OVAs.
I honestly didn't expect much when I first started watching this but I quickly changed my mind - wonderful andbelievable story, lovable and realistic characters and a touch of alchemy and brotherly love. Awesomesauce.
I saw the first FMA anime back in 2006 on Animax. Just finished FMA: Brotherhood recently, and now I prefer it over thefirst one, haha, mostly because of the story. Loved the art direction for the first FMA, though I loved the sketchybackgrounds and the animation (especially the fight scenes!!!) AAAND the happy ending in Brotherhood. I just loved howArakawa-san closed the story.
Favorite character........... well, I LOVED Ling Yao! Maybe a bit of Greedlin, BUT mostly Ling himself. Lan Fan caughtmy attention as well. Haha you could say that I loved the Ling x Lan Fan x Fu-jiisan team; they were awesome! =w= MajorMiles became one of my favorite *new* characters as well. While watching Brotherhood, I got to appreciate somecharacters who I didn't pay close attention to during the first series. Hohenheim, Scar, Barry the Chopper, KingBradley, Kimblee, 2nd Lieutenant Heymans Breda, the promoted 2nd Lieutenant Vato Falman!! and Gluttony to name a few.Haha. Of course, my main favs from the first FMA remained. Black Hayate, Hughes (
This is the first anime I've been obsessed with, aside from Naruto/Bleach/OnePiece. At first I thought the artlooks like that if "Baki the Grappler", I'm not saying it's ugly, rather I'm just not thatimpressed. After watching it for the first time, I thought THIS IS IT!
This is my all time favorite anime and manga. I loved both of the FMA series and I own Brotherhood completely! I findmyself always going to this series when I'm bored or I just need a good laugh. I can even recite some of thecharacters lines.....yeah I'm borderline obsessed. Still this series will always hold a special place in my heart. Its easy to relate to when you really look at it. I loved the music, the story and the meaning of this series and I hopeto enjoy it for years to come.
