Post Gheun Tak Mumbai Ultimate plans

Hi All,

The last tournament was a great experience for all of us, I am sure. We learnt many things, we want to unlearn some things and grow our capabilities in playing Ultimate. 

I would like to keep this mail, to the point, and hence bear with me as this is important for Mumbai Ultimate and the growth of the sport. Please fill the questionnaire, and also provide remarks wherever you think you should

There are 3 main pointers of this mail

1. Individual preference

2. Growth of Ultimate

3. Under 23

None of the teams in Mumbai was a serious contender in Gheun Tak. Due to various reasons, the teams couldn't perform as a top 4 in the country

I would also explain the reasons that I think we could not do well

1. New teams, not enough experience and exposure

2. Commitment level of Players

3. Fun-loving players dont want it to play competitive

4. Skill level of most Players not upto the mark .

Even more so, although the sport is growing in Mumbai, it is disorganized to some extent, and is not growing at the pace at which it should grow.

To address the above issues, we have formed a questionnaire to know preference of each player in Mumbai who plays Ultimate and plan accordingly.

1. Individual Preference

It will help us bring committed and competitive players together, so that we can put a better and prepared team for future tournaments. It will also help to allow fun-loving players play Ultimate for fun and organize fun events

2. Growth of Ultimate

We have been talking about the growth with various ideas and plans but with not enough  implementation and hence not enough results. We would like this to be organized with focused goals and responsibilities. The idea is to form a committee with people committed and responsible for the allocated tasks. 

3. Under 23

We all know that an Under-23 mixed team is going to represent India and require funds for thee same. We, as a community, should put effort in realization of this event through raising funds. The organizers have reached out to ask us whether we would be able to do some fundraising for Mak since he's representing the Mumbai Ultimate community.
