We are pleased to announce that we
have been busy planning beekeeping events in collaboration with Maharashtra
Nature Park (Dharavi). Here is a sneak peak for our google group member of confirmed sessions, so you
can save the dates, with a yearly calendar and more events to be emailed out in the future. Let us know your feedback and any ideas you have for other events.

that there is an additional RS 5 charge for entry to the park.
September 25 - Urban Beekeeping Orientation
2 pm at Maharashtra Nature Park (Dharavi)
Interested in urban beekeeping but don't know if it's for you? This session
will give you all the basics on beekeeping in Mumbai, including a checklist on
what it takes, why you should (hopefully) do it, and what to expect if you do
become a beekeeper! We'll answer all of your qualms and questions about the
magical and ancient practice of beekeeping.

October 3 - Bee Walk
9 am at Maharashtra Nature Park (Dharavi)
Join us for an outdoor Bee Walk (weather permitting), where you will learn how
to identify local bees, find out about pollinator-friendly plants, gain insight
into the important role that bees play in our city, and meet other bee
enthusiasts.

October 15 and 16 - Urban Beekeeping Training Course, 2-day introduction to
beekeeping (in Hindi/Marathi)
For those that are serious about bees, we will be running a year-long
training program on urban beekeeping. October marks our introductory session
of the program, a weekend that will give you all the basic knowledge and some technical skills needed for
beekeeping. Sessions for the rest of the year are 1 day/month. Please contact
us for details, registration must be done in advance.
