to Mumbai Honeybees
Hi bee friends!
Thanks to those of you who came out to our urban beekeeping
orientation yesterday. We talked a little about why its important to
support honeybees, and one of the biggest reasons is to combat colony
collapse disorder (ccd).

As you may know, bee populations around the globe have been dwindling
for a number of reasons, including habitat loss, pollution, new
viruses, electromagnetic fields, invasive species, etc. Much of this
phenomenon is mysterious and still to be solved by scientists. We
would encourage you to explore this issue yourself, there is some
fascinating info available online. Please do share any interesting
links that you find. To start:

Mahadevan N V has shared this excellent article on the issue:

United Nations Environment Program recently published a very
accessible overview of the issues:

A great documentary on the mystery of the vanishing of the bees (which
we hope to screen): http://www.vanishingbees.com/
