I am encountering an issue in MuMax3 when running a simulation inside a for-loop over multiple magnetic field (B) values. The simulation runs correctly for the first 40–50 field steps, but after that it stops with the following error:

I am using MuMax3.10 (Windows, CUDA 11.0) on a desktop system equipped with an NVIDIA RTX 4060 GPU.
The error occurs only during long B-field sweeps and does not appear for a small number of iterations.

Could someone please suggest the best way to avoid this file size mismatch error when running large parameter sweeps in MuMax3 on Windows?

Hi,

Can you post the full mx3 script that gives this error? It would make it easier to diagnose the issue.

Cheers,
Josh L.

Thank you sir for your response.
I attached the script in this email.

Dear Manju,

For me, this script runs to completion without error (mumax3.11.1).
Perhaps another process is concurrently modifying the table.txt file on your machine while mumax is still running, as suggested by the error message "httpfs: file size mismatch, possible concurrent access".

Best regards,
Jonathan

Dear Maju,

I think the problem is that you open the web interface. I think that with a large table.txt it may produce such errors. I recommend you to close the web interface while running such a script and try again.

Best regards,
Felipe

Hello sir,

Thank you Sir for your reply. Your suggestion worked well. The code is now running continuously without any mismatch  errors.
Best regards,
Manju
