Hi everyone,
As the title suggests, I want to implement a ferrimagnetic system in mumax. As far as I understand, it is necessary to couple two ferromagnetic materials with different magnetization directions, but I don't know how to achieve it in mumax, or is there a more direct method?Below are the parameters provided in the literature. If possible, could you give me some help or suggestions? Thank you very much!微信图片_20241029235346.png

Hi,

It depends on what you're trying to do. In many cases, you can treat it as if it's a normal ferromagnet. This is common for stuff like YIG, people usually just treat it like a ferromagnet.

If you absolutely need the two lattices, I don't know any example code for ferrimagnets specifically, but there is some for antiferromagnets you can find here: https://groups.google.com/g/mumax2/c/WumdFurI8k8/m/gSHRjn96BgAJ. It is based on the work of de Clercq et al. It should be possible to adapt them, however. There are some limitations, so make sure you read those.

If you can post more details on what exactly you're trying to replicate, that might be helpful, as well.

Cheers,
Josh L.

Hi Josh,
Thank you very much for your help, I will try it and if it succeeds I will show it below.
