Hi all,

I am starting to stimulate skyrmions in mumax3. Hence, for getting more acquainted with skyrmion physics, i wanted to write the code for neel skyrmion(and not use the prededined neel skyrmion syntax). By doing this I plan to explore other skyrmionic structures(other than bloch, neel, anti skyrmions etc)  Is it possible to do so?

Also, is it possible to simulate anti skyrmions in mumax3, or for that I have to shift towards a more atomistic model ?

Thanks and Regards

Hello,

I don't see any reason you can't recreate Neel skyrmions (or other magnetic structures) without using the predefined version. It's less user friendly of course. But Mumax gives you the freedom to define whatever magnetic features you'd like, as long as they can be properly described by micromagnetics.

Depending on what properties you're interested in, it's possible to study anti-skyrmions. Here are two papers I've seen using Mumax to do so [1] [2]. As long as you're sticking to stuff that is valid within a micromagnetics framework, it should be fine.

Hi everyone,

I am completely new to mumax3 and I want to record the motion of neel skyrmion in an L-shaped nanotrack, can anyone please suggest me how to insert the image of the nanotrack and thereby specify the position of the skyrmion in the mumax code.

With regards,
