I know three programmer's editors available for Windows + Linux:
Jedit (free
), Atom (free) and
UltraEdit (commercial). The referred Xedit (commercial) is for Windows only, same as the Notepad++ (free) and many others. In any Linux distribution, there are several free editors available (gedit, kedit, Nedit, vim and more). I will avoid here any
recommendation since an editor depends on the user preferences, so discussions may be very emotional. An IDE for Windows + Linux is e.g. Eclipse.
