We are conducting two experiments on using technology to improve scientific events. One of them is a better way to share code with reviewers (and everyone else really). By default, at ICLR the code is shared as an archive, to be used as reading material. And this is where our experiment comes in. We
provide the authors access to a cloud service. /* Due to the generosity of our sponsor it even has GPUs! */ There code and data can be deployed, and the reviewers will be able explore, run, and analyse the results from inside their browser, with zero set–up required. The most interesting part, of course, is whether authors & reviewers actually want to engage with the code in the first place – this we will know afterwards.
