Welcome to the Multiplaz 3500 Google Group!

My name is Robert Taylor and I have recently ordered my new Multiplaz 3500 welder (as of June 2014).
I live in Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada.

Feel free to introduce yourself here in this Welcome category. Try to keep serious discussion in separate appropriate categories.
As always this is the Internet, accessible by anyone, so keep the language appropriate for all audiences and
avoid disruptive (rude or abusive) comments. Thanks.

I got my new Multiplaz 3500!
The torches are actually smaller than I imagined and that is great!

Hi Rob, I'm located in Melbourne Australia.

I've been a Multiplaz user for the last 3 years or so.

As I am retired it is only used for hobby work and general welding jobs etc.

So far, now the 'Plaz is in operation, I have not used my conventional welding equipment, such as stick, Mig and Tig, and will be selling them when I get around to it, now having no need for them.

It does take some practice to maximise the potential and characteristics of the unit, but if anyone has used oxy/acc for welding or cutting, it's the next step etc.

I have some photos of a few jobs I've done so if there is any interest I'll post them later.
Ian.

Hi Ian,
Good to meet you. I'm still figuring out permissions for this Google group I guess. Not sure why your posts were stuck waiting for my approval since that didn't happen for anyone else.
Your posts should all be automatically approved now.

Welcome to the site and I look forward to further conversation with you :)
Take Care,
Robert Taylor

Hi Ian,
I would like to see the photos of the few jobs you have done :)

If you would like to make the first thread under the Projects section that would be cool.
While you are in a category like Projects just click on the New Topic button near the top to start a thread.
Also you can click New Topic pretty much anywhere and then use the Category drop down to select the desired category.

Take Care,
Rob

Hi Rob,

I am in the process of selling a bunch of old tools and with the money, my wife has allowed me to purchase a Multiplaz.
Do we have a distributor here in B.C. [ I am on the Sunshine Coast , north of Vancouver ] which you might reccommend?

Thanks very much,
RDM

Hi RDM,
I used to be able to find a dealer listing for Canada on the http://multiplaz.com/dealers site.
The outfit that I got my Multiplaz welder from is called Kammec Mechanical Consultants Ltd.
This outfit is based in Alberta
