McProxy Testing using VLC on Linux PC Facing problem

Hi,

I am testing latest McProxy On linux PC. Fedora 18

My setup

PC 1 = Has 2 interface card eth1 and eth0
McProxy running on this pc  using command -     sudo ./mcproxy -svv -f /etc/config/mcproxy.conig
eth0 = 172.21.1.1 Gate way 172.21.1.100  
eth1  = 192.168.1.10



PC2 = interface 1 IP 172.21.1.100
VLC streaming  with TTL  =1 and SAP etc.
This pc connected to eth0 of PC1

PC3 interface 1 IP 192.168.1.10 gateway 192.168.1.1
VLC client running 


My Pronblem is 

I am not geting streaming vedio in client 
Did not getign sap details in Local network section of VLC

I checked Firewall settings its disabled the services
Any body can give sugestion / guide me

Hello Rajeesh,

here are my suggestions
1) I would test the connection with the program iperf because it is less error-prone than VLC and you minimize side effects, here is an example:

2) The TTL field of your data musst be greater than 1, because Mcproxy counts as an additional hop.

3) Your config file looks like this:
protocol IGMPv3; #IPv4
pinstance myProxy: eth0 ==> eth1;

4) I think in your case it is not nessasary but think of the RPF-check (reverse path filter check).
