Inaccurate intrinsic parameters

I'm trying to calibrate 4 Firefly MV cameras synchronized at 30 fps
The image processing is done by our application. Hence the input to
the toolbox is the point data.
The intrinsic parameters are way off limits. Does the accuracy of
results of multiple camera calibration depend on the arrangement of
cameras.
I'm arranging the cameras in a semi-circular fashion.I got good
calibration results only once.
