We are contemplating a new step in our ad building workflow system. After an ad is complete (hours? days? later) an artist would open the ad and copy and paste some of the information into another of our applications. We want to prevent any inadvertent copy-paste errors on the completed ad and would therefore like to open the ad in a read-only state (without using any kind of file or folder permissions). Tried looking in the AppleScript dictionary to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Greg.

You could do something with the Attached Scripts suite, maybe catch the save event or something. It's been years since I've worked with any of this, so I'm not remembering everything.
