you see i am not expert on the coding n data but i see there while playing the videos i see data transfer in chunks coming to my ip and then there was no way to find it. you can't even download these videos with Patreon downloader or any other proxy settings. damn that was a hard thing.
so there is one important thing about this process which isnt mentioned in the earlier post. you need to install a plugin which the Jdownloader prompts i.e. FFmpeg , the setup will prompt to update/install this. so install and restart the jdownloader.

I have an existing LE certificate for noels.eu which i also find back in crt.sh.
I want to import this existing certificate.
I could download the .crt file, but to import an existing certificate you also need the private key. This seems to be a separate file.

I've noticed recently that if I download a file (In this case mp4) while in private browsing, although the browsing history doesn't seem to be saved, the download itself appears in my browsing history (see image).
Hi smallieboy, how did you download that MP4? If it's from Google Video, I suspect you couldn't use the built-in right-click > Save Video As. Probably you're using a video downloader add-on? You might want to check with the extension developer on this problem.
With the information i have at the moment it is not a good to idea to realize this with private downloads because the performance overhead would be insane? What do you think?
In public download all files can be accessed via url, so this is not an option i think.
xsendfile modifies the header, and so the file is then sent by the apache and not though drupal (correct me if i am wrong), that reduces some load, but in private mode the full bootstrap is performed. thats what makes a thumbnail overview with 100 thumbnails slow (= 100 bootstraps). so the bootstraps and access checking of files that do not need access checking are the problem.
My understanding is that when private file download is used, the file request is not served by the server software such as Apache, and instead passed to Drupal which does two things; determines access permissions and then serves the file using php which is much slower.
I have not used the xsend module yet but thought that it changes the sequence of events such that with private downloads Drupal determines access permissions and then hands back to Apache to serve the file using xsendfile mod.
Since even when using the public file download files can also be served through Drupal as though they were private using the /system/files/xxx url a .htaccess can redirect specific files that match particular wildcard file names to Drupal's private file download.
In private mode, file serving is a bottleneck if you have much images as i wrote in my "module idea post".
And yes you can use Rewrite rules to redirect to /system/files, thats a concept what i want to use if i code a module. And check permissions via file_download()

I can download it with an internet connection, but when EC2 is disconnected from the internet, I can't. You should be able to solve this problem by using a VPC endpoint for S3. A VPC endpoint enables you to privately connect your VPC to supported AWS services without requiring an internet connection, keeping the traffic within the AWS network. From a high level the steps would be to create an VPC endpoint for S3, and then to modify your bucket policy to allow access from your VPC. Your lambda function can still generate pre-signed URL's but the request will be routed over the VPC endpoint instead of the internet.
