Boys-

Hope everyone's summer has been prolific. How do we feel about getting this league up and running again, maybe start talking draft dates? How would people feel about the tues or weds before the season starts, sept 8 or 9? Or could do one of the earlier weeks as well.

Reminder we're at $100 buy in with two mandatory keepers.

I propose we all agree to auto-draft. Or, you could just save me the time and send last year's league champ over to my house to take half the money I was going to spend on this league and kick me in the nuts.

This league could really use some reinvigorating.  What if we invoked the boobie prize?  That can be pretty galvanizing.

Also, would anyone have any objection if we did 30 second picks?  I'm going to be likely drafting from a client site next week.  I don't think it would be any issue if people are doing their homework beforehand.

Yeah that's what it's suppose to be. Bones it's a pain to figure that out though based in the way ESPN has it set up. See if you can just do like reverse order of last season's final standings, I think that's much easier to do and faster to set up

So i went back to week 8 (the completion of week 8) and did reverse order of records with the 4 playoff teams accounted for at the end. For any tie breakers, I used the score in week 8 (reverse order) as I cant get to point totals as of week 8.

Boys-

Good work on pulling off an admittedly shoddily organized draft last. I mostly blame Paul. On first glance at the team's, I think Smitty Richard and Craney came out ahead. That analysis is most likely flawed however given that I've only placed in the money once over the past seven years.

That brings me to payments. How do we want to do things this year? Last year we used that tilt website - not sure how we feel about that. Last I remember we had some stragglers paying last year. I don't mind handling the money duties again if people prefer that approach.

I think we agreed on having a boobie prize for last place, anybody have ideas? Accompanying Paul on a trip to ocean city Maryland, the horse puncher capital of the world, for senior week? Taking officer storen out on a date? Letting J Mac take a dump on your chest? I'm up for whatever.

Scotty also brought up prizes for high point totals during the last few weeks. Maybe like $25 for high point total for each of the last four weeks of the season? Payouts for winners could then be 700/300/100. Or I'd even be fine with $50 to high point total last for weeks, then 600/300/100 payout. Let me know what people think.

He Hate,
Paul

The Tilt website worked, but if you do not mind accepting money, it will be easier that way. Everyone has paypal/venmo at this time.

I am all for the boobie prize - worst record with a tie breaker of points scored? It should entail flying solo somewhere in the US and having to pay for it.

Yeah I'd be good with the 100 for regular season winner. How about we say tie breakers are head to head, then overall points forced.

Payouts including that and 25 to high point score last for weeks would come to 600/300/100 for eventual first second third. I'm good with handling the money again also. Easiest ways are venmo, PayPal (this email address), B of A transfer (using my cell or email works for that I'm pretty sure, unless you've already got my account saved, which it still is the same one), or check to 26 Thompson st, apt 3c, ny ny 10013.

Let's do a poll on the league homepage for boobie prize. I'll list all these to start and we can vote as the season goes along. Let's say votes are due by like Nov 1. Keep sending ideas for those too and I'll add them to the poll

I'm saying right now if the booby prize is to waste money on a plane ticket to Reading, PA (or some equally shitty destination), I'm out.

Logistics might be tough, but I was in a league where the booby prize was everyone makes up a terrible drink (e.g. Bailey's & lime juice, or vodka, Tabasco & mayonnaise), and last place has to drink them all while wearing a ridiculous outfit. Obviously, works best with everyone at a bar, but with with all these app-savvy individuals we can probably just snap hat or social media the group's orders in.

Alright boys. Long overdue update on how the season is progressing:

First off, no one has paid. I'm handling the funds again this year. Easiest payment methods are venmo, paypal, BofA transfer (same account as I've had in the past) and check (26 Thompson st., apt 3C, NY NY 10013). Let's get things moving on that.

Going into week 9, playoff seedings look like this:

(1) Bones 7-1 vs (4) Me 5-3
(2) Smitty 7-1 vs (3) Paul 4-4

Bones has the tie breaker over Smitty in head-to-head. B Stinky and Paul are tied for 1st in the Mid-South-North Atlantic region, but Paul has the tiebreaker on head-to-head.

The Boobie Miles prize for last place is shaping up nicely. Current winner for that would be Spray with a 2-6 record, with Cohen right behind him at also a 2-6 record but having a head-to-head tiebreaker. Hean, Rut and Crane all tied for 3rd to last, so not out of the picture for that yet.

I put a poll up for what the prize should be on the league site. Options are:

- absurd drinks at a bar (3 with contents tbd by the group)
- getting legs waxed
- wearing that japanese squid costume and doing the dance

Let's close voting at the end of the regular season. To be clear, boobie prize goes to person with worst record at end of regular season, with head-to-head then overall points forced as tiebreakers.

This week starts the first of the high point total getting $25. Buenos luckos

We've had some shake ups in the standings in the last two weeks. Playoff seeding now looking like this:

(1) Bones v (4) Roland/Beast
(2) Smitty v (3) B Stinky

Richard and I are nipping at various peoples heels.

The newly enspranged Scotty and I are the only ones to have paid so far. Big Daddy won high point score in week 9 and Cohen won in week ten, so you guys wouldn't need to send in more than $75 if you want. Let's get that wrapped up.

Boobie prize still being led by Spray with the soon to be Rams-less crane spraying at his heels. Poll currently leaning towards prize being doing absurd drinks at a bar. In this case I say we delay doing the aforementioned deed until in a group setting, so new year's ideally.

Couple playoff implication match ups this weekend and two weeks left to vote on the boobie.

Boys-

Into the last week of the regular season here. Roland won high point total from last week so he goes into the Cohen and Heaney camp for having won $25 each so far. Bones also has locked up regular season champion so he gets $100 for that. High point total this week will get $25 then we'll have the two-week round playoffs starting next week.

Things looking interesting on that front. Bones has the #1 seed locked up win or lose. Smitty is in place for #2 if he wins, but if he loses and B Stinky wins, he's the #3 seed and Bryce is the #2. Doesn't matter cause they'd play each other first round of the playoffs either way.

Wildcard comes down to the beast or Roland who both have identical records and are playing each other this week. Winner take all and will play bones in the first round. Roland beat the beast the first time these two played but the beast is projected to win on espn. Should be interesting.

The boobie miles prize is coming down to Scotty or Crane. If spray loses, he'll get it, but if he wins and crane loses, then it's crane holding the sheva. Prize right now is to take three tbd drinks at a bar, but polls will be open until Monday night for those who'd like to vote for legs waxed or Scotty's squid man costume dance.

Me Scotty and now bones are the only ones who've paid. If guys who may/are in the playoffs want to hold out that's fine but others who are eliminated should send money over. Venmo, PayPal, or BofA transfer preferred, checks begrudgingly accepted (26 Thompson st, apt 3c, ny ny 10013)

If anyone's around on Saturday, me and Goda were talking about taking it back to Sidebar/Ainsworth/one of those places for the Bucks-Michigan game at noon. Iron bowl is on at 3:30 as is MSU-Penn state. The egg bowl is at 7:15 and the Bedlam game at 8pm. Odds we won't make it to even the start of that game are exceptionally high.

Go bucks,
Jim Tressel

Playoffs start this week. Bracket looking like this:

(1) Geno's Jaw vs (4) Grant's Tomb

(2) TJ Who's Your Momma vs (3) Team Ramrod

Roland beat the beast pretty solidly in the last week of the season to claim the wild card and appears to be on a bit of a run. He actually had the second most points scored during the regular season also, so bones getting a crappy draw there. Payouts are 600/300/100 for playoffs and the games are two weeks long each remember.

Crane ended up going home with the inaugural Boobie Miles Competitive Balance trophy. His punishment will be three nasty Nate shots to be determined over New Years.

Richard won high point in the last week of the season (Paul I'll send you back 25 of the 100 you already sent me. The 500 from the Charleston police department is still outstanding however).

Guys who have paid are spray, Paul, bones, hean, and myself. Roland, Smitty and Bryce are in the playoffs so can hold of paying til the dust settles, but that leaves:

- C Train 56
- El Back del Beast
- Cohen
- Rutroh

Let's try to get those pmts sorted out so I can stop having to keep track of it. Venmo and PayPal preferred.

If anyone has ideas about how to change the rules for next year, speak up. Scotty and I were talking about extending the trade deadline til later in the season. I thought making regular season champ payout given to team with highest points scored instead of best record. Wouldn't have mattered this year but I could see that changing.

Looking for big wins out of the gators and tarheels this weekend to help Ezekiel and the boys get in the playoffs. Isn't it ironic that Paul's business-ma-mater needs to win for his birth-ma-mater to benefit. Kind of poetic.

Massively overdue season recap here. Roland beat B Stinky by 0.3pts to claim the crown. Smitty edged out bonus in a battle of higher seeds.

Craney completed the Bobbie prize in Jackson in spite of Aubrey trying to be his protective guardian. I can't seem to attach the video evidence to this email so I'll send it from my phone after this one.

Attaching a screenshot of the final money situation for the year (work firewalls killing me on this front). Here's a recap of who owes what:

- Craney owes $100
- Beast owes $100
- Cohen owes $75
- Roland is due $525
- Bryce is due $200

I'm gonna hold off on paying winners til we get all funds in from those who owe money so nothing gets lost. Let's try to wrap that up asap. Venmo, paypal, BofA preferred for payment. Roland and B stinky - let me know how you guys would like to be paid.

That should be it for now. If anybody has any ideas for changes to the league feel free to toss them out. I liked the ones we added this year so would be up for doing more changes next year.
