Donkey of the Week - Wk 1

Boys-

Some good action in opening weeked. Rut Roh and the Sofa King Moneys took home the inaugural Donkey of the Week trophy in week 1 after putting up only 77 pts against B Stinky. His biggest mistake was starting the ever-frail RG III. A lesser mistake was looking ahead to hockey season. 

We're doing alright when it comes to guys paying. Have gotten money from Scotty, B Stinky, and myself. Let's get that wrapped up before we start having issues with guys loafing on roster setting like last year. Venmo / Paypal / BofA transfer encouraged, checks begrudgingly accepted. Starting next week, those who haven't paid will be subject to having at least one mandatory Jets starter in the lineup as sanction.

Special Teams Player of the Week

John Baron Colby College Junior • Kicker/Punter • Medfield, Mass. Trailing 7-6 to Williams, Baron booted a 19-yard field goal with four seconds remaining to give the Mules a 9-7 victory. Baron also played a major part in the field position battle as two of his punts landed inside the 20-yard line. Baron had good hang time on a punt in the first quarter that allowed the Mules to get down the field quickly, forcing a Williams fumble which Colby recovered on the Williams 24-yard line and led to its only touchdown of the day. In the fourth quarter, Baron had a 63-yard punt that was downed at the Williams 6-yard line. The Ephs ended up having to punt from the back of the end zone.
