Garmin apps will display text in the language set by your phone. To change the language text that is displayed in a Garmin app, you will need to change your phone's language settings. The instructions to change your phone's language settings may vary by manufacturer or software version, but for general instructions select one of the options below:

And also there is another kind of crazy thing, the automatic named activity where always will be added "walking" (for example), will be named like the Garmin webs language is, in this case sometimes in English and sometimes in German.

To explain, if Web is German there you wanna see "Gehen" (German) and if you opened the Android App and didn't changed the Web imidiatly after, there will be the English name "Walking" for the activity, even the Watch is always in German.

Even the Android App has no opportunity to change Language, what is fully okay if your phone is in another one, but it would be nice when at least the Web Connect would be stay in the choosen Language.

As long as you wont open the GC App, all recordings from the Watch will sent in German (like "Gehen") into the GC App and also into the Web but if you have had opened the App and your Web is Englisch, the German Watch will send the activity with english names onto the GC App and Web.

I had thought I remembered the app installation process asking the language, but just tried to reinstall myself and obviously I was mistaken. (or else it just picks the settings up from the last time).

I've got My phone language set to English (US) and Garmin connect app language to russian - no effect. The connect app is still in english. Same with audio promts during autolap for an example. If I chose to russian and wear my bluetooth headphones during activity, i hear time and other numbers pronounced in native russian, but things like heart rate, average speed etc are pronounced like english words in russian. I don't hear things like "Пульс" in russian, instead I hear "hert reit" and "evereg spid", its like not translated, but pronounced in russian. Please fix it. If I use my phone in Russian language, both connect and audio promts are ok.

Hi Romeor, did you please manage this bug? I am having the same problem and even though I dont have Slovak neither in my phone nor in my Garmin Quatix 6 PRO my Audio prompts language, changing each time I start any new activity. So it mixes two languages Slovakian and English. Thanks for your reply.

In my particular situation, the voice had spontaneously swapped from Female to Male and I was unable to figure out why. (not related to the languages issue from the OP) There is a Google speech engine, and Samsung Speech engine, apparently Googles currently defaults to a Female voice and Samsungs defaults to a Male voice. Some update must have reinforced the Samsung Engine and swapped the voice.

My Instinct drives me crazy again. Some days ago I noticed that display language was changed to "english" (instead of "german" that I had before). In the settings menu I can see all languages, but not choose or install any of these. English is the only language that is installed. After having choosed "German" with the "install" option I was asked to connect the Instinct via USB cable to Garmin Express. GE tells me the watch has already actual software (11.00) and nothing can be updated. There are no languages to update... I did syncronization and checked the settings also on the "Garmin Connect" portal, where the Instinct's language is shown as "German". After deconnecting from the computer I switched the Instinct of and on again. Nothing had changed. Language is "English" and "German" in the menu is "Pending". After several reconnections to the computer, restarts and synchronisations nothing has changed to this status. What else can I do? Is there a possibility to upload the languages file manually via cable?

Change the language in the watch to English, restart it (maybe not necessary, just to be sure), then enter the menu again, change it to German, and then connect with the USB cable to Garmin Connect to download the text files.

I have several garmin products out of habit I save my language file on my pc, I remove those that are not used (it makes room) in the event of a problem, I always have it in reserve, for your information the English language is in the system hardware so that whatever happens we can always work in English

Some time ago the mobile app spontaneously changed my language from English to Russian. I don't know Russian, I use the English version. How can I restore the correct language? Everything is fine on the website. I reinstalled strava but this did not help.

Some Athletes have experienced the Strava App displaying a language that does not match that of their phone's system language. In this case, simply toggle your phone's language to a different option (in the phone settings) - then back to your language of choice; this should resolve the issue you're having.

Yesterday (2/27/2022) during a wi-fi sync my Venu 2 become irresponsive, so I decided to hard reset via the buttons, but after that, it didn't want to boot up again. After several re-try, I decided to factory reset the device. After that, at the initial setup, It asked me to choose my language, I choose Hungarian, and it crashed again, remained in an endless loop, and only a new factory reset solved the problem. I tried with English, Espanol, and France languages, the setup could be completed with them.

Hello. I use Hungarian language also on my Venu 2. I experienced same problem today morning when I restarted my Venu 2. It went into starting mode but stopped there displaying only a triangle and it frozen in famous triangle status. The remedy is dowloading the latest 8.11 software version via PC using Garmin Express. 8.11 is already available. After disconnecting the USB cable Venu 2 will install the software and after it's automatic restarting language can be set to Hungarian what finally works again. Good luck!

My sw was also 5.38 when the triangle issue happened. Strange that 5.38 version was updated directly to 8.11 a two hours ago. Big version change isn't? But I did not experience any new feature yet. Just works in Hungarian again. :-)

2. in case of a triangle struck there is no remedy proposed by Garmin, (at least I did not find it on Garmin support pages) but the steps of an enforced hard reset is detailed here: -venu-2/hardreset-second-method/

From the feedback I received, I noticed that many people find it hard to change the settings for an App. This can be done on the watch itself, if it provides such an option via the Menu, or using a connected computer or smartphone. On a computer you use Garmin Express, on a smartphone there is the Connect Mobile App. For both I will describe how the settings can be changed.

The steps are shown in the pictures below. Make sure the Garmin device is connected to the phone first. I will show how it works for the Emergency Info widget on a Fenix 3. For other Apps and devices, the process is similar.

This is for changing settings for a Garmin Connect IQ app, regardless of which device it is. Some apps also allow changing the settings in the App itself, but that depends on the App. You can try the menu button on your device, otherwise contact the developer of the app.

I have down loaded the skiing professional app and I just cant get it on my forerunner 235. I have searched every where. Its not where to be found. It is on the app on my phone. I have tried syncing but it didnt make any difference

Did you previously pay for the Health Sync license with the Google Play payment service? Then the payment information is stored with the Google account used when you made the payment. You probably use multiple Google accounts on your phone. If this is the case, try the following to solve the license issue:

Health Sync requires a license after the free trial period. In-app payments via the Google Play Store are currently not possible in Russia. We do not expect this situation to change any time soon, due to the war in Ukraine and international sanctions. But you can install Health Sync through the Huawei AppGallery and make a payment through the mobile phone provider or Qiwi payment. Follow the directions below.

On a non-Huawei phone, install the Huawei AppGallery

On a non-Huawei phone you first have to install the Huawei AppGallery. You can use the Huawei AppGallery website to install the AppGallery.

On a non-Huawei phone, install HMS Core

The HMS Core app is already installed on a Huawei phone. But on non-Huawei phone, you need to install HMS Core package, otherwise Health Sync cannot work properly with Huawei services.

This problem is often related to an incorrect installation of Health Sync on the phone. You can try reinstalling Health Sync on your phone. If it still does not work after the reinstallation, please contact us by sending an email to in...@appyhapps.nl and let us know which phone model you are using. Then we can help you solve this problem.

With Health Sync you can sync activity data to Google Drive (or Huawei Drive on a Huawei phone). Health Sync will than generate a FIT activity file in your Google Drive for each synced activity. You can manually upload these FIT activity files to Garmin Connect.

If you wish to synchronize weight data with Garmin Connect, there are two methods available: you can utilize the connection between Garmin Connect and MyFitnessPal, or manually upload weight data to Garmin Connect:
