Level 60 hit our games. In true Level update fashion it arrived with a new Freemium Character, new Freemium Building, some premium selections and a new questline. (you can view the whole rundown here)

Level 60 is just like every other level in TSTO. You play it, you move through it and you move on. The content will be in the game for as long as the game is running. So you have FOR-EV-ER (in TSTO world) to finish it.

What are your thoughts on the new way of doing things? Are you still freaking out about it? Are you enjoying it? Did you earn a bunch of donuts? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

Level 2 takes place in Downtown Springfield. In this level, Bart tries to satisfy his need for violence and destruction. His escapades include Bonestorm II, fireworks, and Professor Frink's Truckasaurus.

The level opens with Bart skipping school in downtown Springfield. He is desperately trying to obtain a copy of Bonestorm II, due to its violent content and popularity. He talks to his best friend Milhouse about it, but he says that Principal Skinner is on the prowl, looking to expel any truants he can find. After evading Skinner and driving to the Try-N-Save, Bart looks forward to indulging in Bonestom II, but due to Marge, his mother, destroying most of the copies of the game, his search is unsuccessful. On prompting from Kearney, he tries a brief stint with illegal fireworks and avoiding Chief Wiggum, but they still fail to satisfy him.

Bart then talks to Comic Book Guy about getting Bonestorm II, only to be roped into a race to Springfield's Java Server to complain about the new McBain film. Even worse, at the Java Server, Comic Book Guy reveals that Professor Frink has bought all the remaining copies of Bonestorm II, meaning that Bart's searches are fruitless. Frustrated, Bart goes to Frink, who explains that he is using Bonestorm II's violence, multiplied by all the copies of the game, to power his Truckasaurus, Bart spends the second half of the level bringing together the last parts needed to get the robot fully operational (a WWII-era radio (won off of Snake in a race), a satellite dish (given by Cletus for helping to gather up roadkill to serve at Krusty Burger, despite the efforts of Apu), and a blender (given by Dr. Nick after helping round up his escaped test monkeys)) and then destroying several cell-phone users' cars to prevent interference from the cellular signals. The robot can now be used.

In the stadium, Bart examines the Truckasaurus; unfortunately, there is a Wasp Camera next to it, its control signals sending the robot wild. Bart barely escapes with his life by driving out of the stadium, only for a UFO to abduct him straight after.

Level 2 takes place in the more urbanized portion of Springfield. One third of the map is dominated by the downtown side, while another is in the process of being constructed, and the last third is exclusively highway. All three parts, in some way or another, are unfinished or damaged. Notable locations downtown include the Googolplex, the Monorail, the museum, the hospital, and the stadium. The east side includes the construction site, Moe's Tavern, the train station, Try-n-Save, and the DMV. The highway part of the map splits into three parts. The main road follows a "U" pattern, a side highway that is nearly finished but falls short over the main road, and two splinter roads that start and end shortly after the beginning and end of the main road.

The music for Level 2 is composed much like a rock band would compose a song: a crunchy, distorted guitar dominates, while a slick bass line and loud drums complement the guitar. The track is also used in Level 6.

After Homer destroys a Wasp Camera that breaks into his home and admires some gold coins that emitted from the camera, an advertisement comes up on his TV, which features Krusty advertising a new Buzz Cola drink, that is supposedly good for people's energy. After watching the advert, Homer decides to go to the Kwik-E-Mart to buy some cola, and some ice cream too, after his wife, Marge, tells him that it has been eaten. When he comes home, he gets told by Marge that Lisa left for school without her science project. Homer then races Principal Skinner to the school and gives Lisa her science project just in time, devoid of its gallbladder, which he mistook for a fig and ate.

After that, he then returns home and is told by Marge that Ned Flanders is serious and that he should see him. Homer goes to see Ned, who says that half a dozen of his possessions have disappeared; it transpires that Homer stole them all and did bizarre things with them, such as giving a water cooler to Barney as a birthday present (which he promptly used as a toilet) and leaving Rod's inhaler on top of a Duff Beer truck parked outside the Kwik-E-Mart. After retrieving all the lost items and giving them back to Ned, Homer goes back home, only to be told by Marge that he is late for work, and today is his evaluation day with Mr. Smithers, Homer goes to the Kwik-E-Mart and destroys Smithers' car before he reaches the power plant. Homer then goes to work at the power plant, but he complains that he can't sleep with a camera that is watching him. He then destroys some power couplings outside his office and then returns to his workstation, when Mr. Burns tells his employees that it is home time. Homer returns home and sits down on the sofa and watches the news, which features Kent Brockman explaining about Wasp Cameras spying on the citizens of Springfield and strange black vans. At that moment, Homer spots a black van outside his house and follows it until it reaches to Mr. Burns' mansion, where he suspects that Mr. Burns himself is up to his old mischief again.

Homer goes to the Grocery Store, where Marge tells him that a new violent video game, Bonestorm II, has hit the streets, and that children should not play it, so Marge and Homer go out and continuously hit a truck containing Bonestorm games and destroying them in the process. Afterwards, they return home and then Homer goes back to the power plant, and sees Carl, who is drunk, but he finds out that Smithers is going to warn Mr. Burns, so Homer races Smithers to Mr. Burns' mansion and scolds Burns for sending spying cameras and black vans in Springfield, where he tells Homer that they are pizza vans which are completely harmless, and fires Homer immediately.

Level 1 takes place in the suburbs of Springfield, featuring many locations from the show, including the Simpsons House, Flanders House and the Wiggum House, all of which are located in the Evergreen Terrace street. There are also many other houses in the level, including one that has a shortcut leading through the garage, which contains Krusty glass; the player can use this shortcut in some of the level's missions. Other locations include the La Maison Derrire, the Kwik-E-Mart and the Retirement Castle, with a Krusty Burger located behind the Kwik-E-Mart and a gas station nearby. After that, there is the First Church of Springfield, another Krusty Burger and the Springfield Elementary School, followed by the Grocery Store.

There is also a bridge down the road from the school that goes into the richer district; locations on the district include the Gold House, Mr. Burns' Mansion, which is inaccessible here, and a Springfield Gasoline Station, there is also the Stonecutters Tunnel that will lead into the reactor and back end of the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. Exiting the plant is where poor people of Springfield reside, which contains a crop field, a barn and the Tire Fire, which can be used as a shortcut in some of the game's missions. After that is a trailer park, yet another shortcut that is usable in a couple missions, and two houses where Moe and Nelson reside; there is also a house where Cletus resides along with a bridge splitting the poor and normal parts of the level. Across the bridge is a gas station and a Krusty Burger, along with the Springfield Cemetery, which is inaccessible in the level.

After the events of Level 2's cutscene, Bart has been declared missing and the hunt is on. Lisa, Bart's younger sister, has taken it upon herself to personally find Bart. She runs across town looking for any information about Bart's location, but her efforts are in vain until she consults Captain McAllister. With his help, Lisa finds her brother, but Bart's mind has been completely scrambled.

Level 3 is the last unique level in the main game, as all other levels after this one reuse the maps from the first three levels. It takes place at the beach-side part of Springfield during sunset, it is also the last level to take place during the day, and is the first level to incorporate vehicle headlights.

The map includes locations found in the show such as The Android's Dungeon, Barney's Bowalarama, the Aztec Theater, and of course, Krusty Burgers. Notable locations in Level 3 include the Squidport, the Burns Casino, the observatory, and the Duff Brewery. Lastly, half of the map is dominated by freeway and forest along with the Springfield Sign, and includes a smaller part of town, including the observatory, Kamp Krusty, a massive, destroyed bridge alongside a leaking dam, and The Android's Dungeon, while the other half is dominated by the ocean, and includes the Squidport, the Burns Casino, the larger part of town, the C-Spanker, and the Duff Brewery.

The third section takes place inside this hallucination, as you wander through a constantly shifting desert landscape. Eventually you encounter the Space Coyote (voiced by Johnny Cash using archive recordings) who tells you to find your soulmate.

Of the five level packs released to date The Simpsons is one of the better ones. Its Springfield section has some funny moments (not to mention some great Simpsons-style comedy signs to read) and its desert section plays some clever tricks with the shifting environment.

Meanwhile, the likes of Gimli, Harley Quinn, Cyborg and the upcoming Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man all have Super Strength too, meaning if you own (or plan to own) any of these, the benefits of using Homer become purely cosmetic.
