Friends, Colleagues, Community Partners,

It is with bittersweet feelings that I am sharing the news of my imminent departure from the Wylde Center Team. After much consideration, I have decided to take another job that will return me to hands-on work in horticulture. While leading the oversight of our beautiful greenspaces has been an exciting and fulfilling experience, my heart and hands need to be working directly with plants again.

I have so enjoyed my time at Wylde Center, watching our gardens grow and my team doing amazing work to build better urban greenspaces for all to enjoy. I appreciate every relationship I have built with the folks in the communities we serve and hope you all can continue doing good work right along with Wylde for many years to come.

My last day as a full-time employee with the organization is this Friday, 5/13, but I will be retaining a few hours per week through July to help keep things rolling and to assist in the transition once a new Greenspace Director is found. Please let me know before Friday if you/we have any loose ends that need my attention, and if you know anyone who might be interested in serving in my role, please refer them to our jobs page

After 5/13 and until we onboard a new GD, your first point of contact will be our site coordinators:
You may also reach out to our Executive Director, Stephanie Van Parys at step...@wyldecenter.org if our site coordinators are unable to assist.

Thank you all for a great 2.5 years serving our communities!

All the best,
Derek
