Hello to all
Team chicken has been managing the chicken project for a number of years now. We have had 6 families involved
We bought the chicken coop and had the big chicken run built.
We have open days as two families are no longer able to participate.
The commitment is to show up in the morning on your day to feed and water the chickens and clean the coop, to collect eggs later in the day and to tuck the chicken in at night after they go into the coop closing and latching the door
additionally you are responsible for getting chicken feed and supplies and paying for them on a rotating basis..depending on the number of families every 5-6 months.Costs for chicken feed, scratch grain and hemp for the coop floor run about $60-$80
occasionally we split the cost for repairs on the coop…. Team Chicken built the coop and run and paid for it at the beginning of this project three years ago… Wylde Center is not part of this project, although we do our best to loop them in but they have no responsibilities.
we also cover chicken days for others who are traveling.

We will be restocking with a flock of young birds...pullets..ready to lay ,possibly late February-early March.
we will likely meet the end of January early February.. no details yet
