customers with their ongoing use and success of the salesforce.com
application, and uses his/her product knowledge and understanding of
the force.com platform to help customers achieve their business

The Senior Technical Support Engineer is responsible for leading
customers with their ongoing use and success of the salesforce.com
application, and uses his/her product knowledge and understanding of
the force.com platform to help customers achieve their business
objectives. Daily activities will include resolving technical and
functional issues for our customers and sharing knowledge with team
members to enhance the quality and efficiency of customer support.
Required Skills:
BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
3 years experience direct required in the management and
administration of network infrastructure - routers, switches, load
balancers, SSL acceleration technology, etc. - in a high-
availability / e-commerce infrastructure.
3 years experience with network protocols for routing and access,
including but not limited to: BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, RADIUS,
TACACS, STP, etc.
Strong functional knowledge of TCP/IP an absolute requirement
Knowledge and experience working with LAN/WAN infrastructure
technologies, Web Hosting, LAN/WAN, T1
Analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving expertise.
Experience using network troubleshooting tools such as ping,
traceroute and nslookup.
Experience with the use and implementation of enterprise monitoring
and management frameworks, such as MicroMuse NetCool, HP OpenView,
etc.
Good experience working in structured change management processes for
highly available enterprise networks.
Experience building and configuring the network infrastructure to
support and secure major Internet host/network services, including but
not limited to: web (http, SSL, etc.), mail (sendmail, etc.), DNS,
NFS, NIS/NIS+, databases (Oracle) and Java
Firewall/security experience (access control list (ACL) management.
secure remote management practices, IDS, etc.)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, conducive to
team development

Desired Skills:
Familiarity with Salesforce.com proprietary technologies: Visualforce
and Apex code
Experience with XML, Java and SQL
Read, develop, troubleshoot and debug software in Visual Basic and
Java
Familiarity with development environments including Visual Studio,
Jbuilder, and AJAX nclude resolving technical and functional issues
for our customers and sharing knowledge with team members to enhance
the quality and efficiency of customer support.
