Please note that this week is the start of the mid-semester break. Therefore, there will be NO CONVERSATION SESSIONS this Thursday (20th) and next Thursday (27th of September).

See yourself as a film reviewer? Studying film? Like cinema, particularly if it's Asian? Good with words and able to commit some of your time? Then we want to talk to you! We're currently looking for more casual staff, and while you won't get paid, you will get review freebies (as long as it's in Australia, since that's our primary market). Sounds good? Then all you need to do is drop Deni a line via the Contact section of the site, with your name and email address, and a little bit about yourself and what you're interested in. After that, we'll get in touch, sort out a mutually agreeable trial review for you and go from there! And then who knows - Heroic might be you!

AI: PERSPECTIVES ON LOVE EXHIBITION!

Presenting works by Japanese artists who have created their art based on the theme of "Ai" or love. Ai can describe the love for your partner, family, pet or even your country. A word with its origins from more recent Japanese history, it highlights the many foreign influences on the evolution of Japanese language and society. The collection contains over 150 individual works from artists who range from 19 to 60 years old and work in a variety of mediums. The exhibition highlights both established and emerging artists whose work is influenced by traditional and modern Japanese culture as well as Western culture with each creating a new and different art world. http://www.ai-exhibition.com/
