the holidays to keep you occupied. I shall email you again if we hold

REMINDER: Current memberships will expire at the end of this year. You
may renew your membership at Level 1 Reception, Sidney Myer Asia Centre
(opposite Melbourne University tram terminal). Alternatively, you may
renew during Orientation and Welcome Back week 2008. If you do not do
so by the end of Welcome Back week, you will be removed from the club
mailing list.

The koto – Japanese zither – is the most popular of Japan’s traditional
instruments. This classical instrument now shows a whole new face of
contemporary music. The koto has spread its wings into many different
parts of the world, attracting attention in the global music scene.

games in a friendly atmosphere.
If you’re an AJSV or JCV member, entry is free. Non-members are
requested to pay a nominal donation of $3 to cover drinks & food.
The venue is the Ross House Association 247 – 251 Flinders Lane
(between Elizabeth and Swanston Streets) in the city, from 6:30 to 8:30
p.m.

AJSV NOMI-KAI NETWORK

The AJSV's Nomi-Kai Network was launched at its Shin-Nen-Kai (New
Year's drinks) held in January, at which over 70 people attended. This
is a casual monthly gathering for those living in Melbourne with a
shared interest in Japan.
Time & Date: 6pm to 8pm, 2nd Thursday of the month (next one 13
December)
