SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR A JAPANESE FILM
-----------------------------------------------------------
Asuka, from the Victorian College of the Arts, is seeking a Japanese
girl in her
teens or early 20s and an elderly Japanese grandmother type for the
production
of a 5 minute film called "Obon no Yoru" (Night of Obon). The film will
be shot
on betacam with a film lens. The script is 3 pages, set in Japan, and
the dialogue
is in Japanese although the film itself will have English subtitles.
The props have been flown in from Japan and the film aims to be
authentic and as
true to Japanese culture as possible. Asuka will shoot the film on
Monday 27th and
Tuesday 28th August at a Japanese retreat in Hepburn Springs,
Dalesfield. Food and
transport will be provided and payment is differed on release of the
film. The film
will be submitted to various international festivals on completion and
if the film wins
any monetary prize, the Victorian College of the Arts will ensure that
all actresses are
paid out first.
You do not have to be a professional actress, however, Asuka is seeking
someone
who shows enthusiasm and would like to have the experience of being part
of the
film. If you are interested, please contact Asuka for more information:
asuka....@gmail.com
