----------
38th Annual Japanese Language Speech Contest
----------
This year's Japanese Language Speech Contest will be held on Saturday 4 August.
Basically (eligibility details in the guidelines document), anyone
whose native language is not Japanese can participate in the contest.
The winners of the Melbourne contest head to Sydney for the Speech
Contest Finals. I encourage anyone who is studying Japanese, or has an
enthusiasm for a particular topic, or simply wants to do a speech, to
have a go at the speech contest. Prizes are up for grabs!
Even if you're not planning to give a speech, please go along and give
support to the participants. The speech contest needs positive support
from the audience. Even if you're native Japanese, there's no problems
being part of the audience. Take your friends with you too!
Application deadline (for speech participants): Wednesday 25 July <<<
Speech Contest date (Melbourne): Saturday 4 August
Venue: Carrillo Gantner Theatre, Sidney Myer Asia Centre, University
of Melbourne
cnr Monash Rd and Swanston St
Melway: 2B E7
