MUISS
newly enrolled international students. If you are new here, MUISS is
the international students service that represents all international
students on Clayton campus. We are more than happy to help you out
with any problems, just have to come to see us.
And to find out more about us, we have MUISS Introduction Day on the
coming Wednesday, as well as a orientation game MUISS Mission Possible
that will allow you to know your campus (where and how to do things in
campu) better!
Finally, MUISS is also conducting a English Learning / Debating
Workshop on the coming Friday, where professional debaters from Monash
Association of Debaters will be elaborating on the essential skills of
public speaking, argument, analysis and advocacy! This event is for
EVERYBODY!

[11.07] MUISS Mission Possible (Orientation Game)
=================================================
Know your university better! Mission Possible targets newly arrived
international students who would love to get to know more friends and
the campus the fun and exciting way at absolutely NO COST.
Participants will be divided into teams where they will be given tasks
to be completed within 2 hours. You are then to solve the tasks and
riddles given as fast as possible to win the game!

[13.07] MUISS English Learning / Debating Workshop
=======================================
MUISS in collaboration with Monash Associations of Debaters (MAD) are
proud to bring you a free debating workshop to develop your advocacy
skills right before the semester starts. Given by some of the best
debaters in Australia and the world, this workshop are designed to not
online students interested in competitive debating, but also other
students who are looking to improve their general skills of argument,
analysis and advocacy. Apart from that, this is an excellent workshop
to enhance your confidence in public speaking as well as other general
verbal skills which will be beneficial to you for the rest of your
life.

Workshop consists of:

- Five seminars on debating skills and preparation
- High quality demonstration debate
- Supervised preparation sessions and practise debate
- Constructive advice and adjudication from experience adjudicators
- Take home manual on debating technique and tips
After participating the workshop, two teams will be chosen to take
part in our public debate on 18th July, where they will be battling
each other debating on the issue of travel concession for
international students! It's going to be an open forum with heaps of
challenges! Participants of the public debate will be given a
Certificate of Participation signed by the Vice Chancellor.
