Attention to all Monash students,

As some of you may not have received this e-mail on your student
account (if you're not a Caulfield student, as this e-mail is sent out
to the MONSU Caulfield members), this is an official release from the
university regarding the new changes that they are applying to
Caulfield Racecourse Exam Parking. There is currently an online
petition for the campaign, in which the address can be found from the
attached e-mail below.

To all Clayton students, there should be an official global e-mail
sent to your student account soon informing you of this change. I
can't guarantee when will it be released, but this first hand
information should be sufficient. Should you have any questions, feel
free to ask me, I'll do my best to get more information for you.

All updates will be posted on: http://www.muiss.org.au/forums/index.php?topic=269.

And if possible, please help spread the word as well.

Cheers,
Audrey

I write to inform you of a change to student car parking arrangements
at
the Caulfield Racecourse for the conduct of examinations, commencing
in
June 2007 that MONSU Caulfield is appalled with.

We have been informed that exam parking at the Racecourse will no
longer
be free to all Monash students, only those who currently possess a
Blue
Caulfield permit. So if your not a holder where before it was free,
now
whether you park one hour or the whole day you will now incur a charge
of
$6 per park.

Obviously this is not great news that many of you have to essentially
pay
to sit your exam. Options of free parking that we generally enjoy are
seriously depleted during our exams due to time limits less than your
exam. Therefore I am strongly pushing to the University that the
Caulfield multi-level car park is made free to students during the
examination period. If this is not possible some other free parking
arrangements need to be found.

MONSU Caulfield realises that exam periods are a very stressful time
for
all of us, and also realises the fact that alternative travel
arrangements may be inconvenient, time consuming, and unreliable, not
to
mention the increase in stress this causes, especially for a large
majority of you that do not live on the Cranbourne/Pakenham or
Frankston
lines.

MONSU Caulfield while currently pressuring the University for free
parking arrangements to be made, ask that if you disagree with the
fact
that no longer do all students have access to free parking, then
please
click on the below link and sign a petition, which you have the option
of
remanning anonymous to if you like, that we may take to the university
to
remind them who they are here for, and leverage for an option of free
parking.
