For new international students, welcome to Monash! For returning
international students, welcome back, my friends. Straight to the
updates, Multicultural Festival (MCF) is going to be held on the third
week of the academic semester (30th July to 2nd of August from 12 to 2
pm). Gear yourself up for a week's worth of fun and excitement!
Furthermore, tickets for Monash Multicultural Night (MMN), which is on
the 10th of August, are available for sale now, and interested
students may purchase it from the booth opposite STA Travel everyday
from 12-2 pm. In addition, MUISS will be organising a two-day long
second hand book sale starting on the 19th of July. MUISS is also
having our third budget lunch of the year on the 24th of July-
Vietnamese food with a choice of pork, chicken, or vegetable.
Interested students may purchase or enquire more information from the
MUISS lounge anytime. Also, MUISS is also organising a PR seminar
sometime next week for those who are interested to get a PR here in
Australia. There have been changes made to the PR requirements, and
all international students are encouraged to sign up for this
fantastic opportunity. Last but not least, international students can
have free breakfast from 8-11 am at the MUISS lounge for the first two
weeks of the semester. It is a great chance for friends to meet up
again and a fantastic opportunity to meet and make new friends.
As for international clubs, CCM is having a pasta night coming
Thursday, the 19th of July. There will be games, food, and a short
presentation of the club itself, all at a minimal costs of 1 Aussie
gold coin (i.e. either AUD 1 or AUD 2, depending on how much you are
willing to give). The sweetest part of the deal is, you need not be a
Christian to join- just come and have fun and make new friends.
