Isn't it great to have all those cool applications for the I-phone 2.0
on your I-pod touch? Not so fast. If you have an 8GB touch, and you
download the current version of I-tunes, you may find that you only
have 3.25 GB of space left on your touch for music, pics, etc. Has
anybody else run into this problem? Better yet, has anyone come up
with a solution other than trying to reset and/or delete apps? All
help appreciated. P.S., when can I expect my 8.0GB Iphone to suffer
the same fate?
Thanks,
Joe Nolan

Managing them from iTunes applications pane? Control click for a pop-
up menu. Also when you are connected for sync or charge, from iTunes,
you can click on which ones to restore from the applications tab.

Hi Joe,

I have not seen a big decrease in available space on my Touch. I used
to have 4G of files on my nano and when I moved the same files over
the 8G touch, I still had 4G left. I have added a few applications but
they haven't taken up a lot of extra space. I would suggest doing the
reset and then resyncing with itunes. This should move back your
songs, pics, and apps.
One thing I have heard that can cause some issues is if apps are
downloaded directly to the touch. It apparently is better to download
them to iTunes and then sync them.

I am also thinking of an 8G iPhone and am hoping it will be enough as
there a lot of useful applications out there which might eat up the
space quite quickly.

Good luck

Tom
