The GISF is a foundational certification for security and related concepts like networking, cryptography, and cybersecurity technologies. GIAC recommends the certification for anybody new to cybersecurity who wants a fundamental introduction to the field, as well as those who can benefit from cybersecurity knowledge such as system administrators and non-IT security managers.

The CAPM is a certification designed to prepare you for entry-level project management positions. Though not an IT certification, many IT positions and teams value project management skills. The CAPM can be worth pursuing if you have a technical background and are hoping to move into a more project management-oriented role.

Learning from industry leaders in technology like Google and IBM is another way to expand your IT skill set and enhance your resume. You can explore your options in the sections below. Each of these Professional Certificates is self-paced and on the Coursera platform.

The Google IT Support Professional Certificate aligns with the objectives covered in the CompTIA A+ certification. In this self-paced, 100% online course, you'll gain the foundational knowledge you need to become IT job-ready. With this Google certificate, you'll learn the basics of operating systems (OS), networking, customer support, and problem-solving with code. Upon completion, you'll earn a Career Certificate from Google.

IBM's IT Support Professional Certificate can prepare you for a role in IT in as little as three months. You'll develop a wide range of hands-on skills surrounding networking, operating systems, cybersecurity, customer support, and cloud technologies. Upon completion, you'll earn a shareable Professional Certificate from IBM.

IT jobs are in high demand right now. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that computer and information technology jobs are expected to grow faster than average for all occupations from 2022 to 2032 [4].

By 2025, half of Indiana's new jobs are going to require a post-secondary degree or certificate. To help you prepare, Ivy Tech offers a large variety of degrees, certificates, and workforce certifications in over 70 programs. Find the credential that fits your career interests below.

The certificate option is available to any student who is earning a graduate degree at Georgia Tech. Obtaining the certificate provides students with a strong foundation in managerial decision-making allowing them to work with peers across business, engineering, and science industries to develop and transform technical and scientific expertise to impact the the global marketplace. After completing the certificate, students will have the multi-disciplinary perspective necessary to meet strategic and operational challenges faced by established firms as well as start-ups operating in dynamic and uncertain environments.

Students must complete a required course, MGT-ISyE 6772, that provides a multidisciplinary approach to innovation and technology management. Additionally, students select three electives from the approved electives list to develop an individualized program of study that fits their career goals.

After earning a graduate degree from Georgia Tech and meeting the Management of Technology Certificate requirements, a student may apply for the certificate. Please note that it may take up to 45 days to receive the certificate by mail.

To obtain the Certificate, students must take 15 credit hours of approved courses. In addition to coursework, students must gain practical technology law experience through a simulation course, a legal externship, or a clinic. Students must also complete assigned modules and lessons in training and assessment tools.

Students are welcome to begin their Ivy Tech journey by pursuing their associate degree. However, you may wish to pursue a short or long-term certificate first, so you can quickly start working in the healthcare industry while you finish pursuing an associate degree. At Ivy Tech, we call this stacking your credentials because students can apply credits from a previously earned Certificate (CT) or Technical Certificate (TC) to their requirements for an associate degree to avoid duplicating the time, effort, and money put into earning a certificate.

Students can get this certificate as a step toward earning an associate degree. It allows them to choose from a variety of short-term certificates along with general education courses and electives to give them a rounded educational experience.

A Central Service Technician Certificate (CT) prepares students for careers as sterile processing technicians or central service professionals. Students learn how to perform the following work with medical supplies in healthcare facilities:

This certificate can prepare students for a role as a Certified Nursing Assistant. You may also hear this role called a nurse's aid. These professionals typically work in long-term care and assisted living facilities and doctors' offices. Some Certified Nursing Assistants work for hospitals.

The Home Health Aide Certificate (CT) indicates that an individual has the tools necessary to assist people who need healthcare in a home environment. The 2-credit hour bridge course, taken after completion of the CNA certificate, offers the opportunity to earn Indiana Home Care Workforce Training Program certification.

Ivy Tech's Long Term Care Specialist Certificate (CT) prepares students for certification in Dementia Care, Home Health Aide from the Indiana Home Care Workforce Training Program. After completing this Ivy Tech certificate program, students are eligible for Indiana State Department of Health testing for Certified Nurse Registry.

The Pharmacy Technician Certificate (CT) prepares students to become medical professionals who work alongside pharmacists. Pharmacy technicians assist in preparing and dispensing medications, helping to ensure that patients receive the best care.

Students who earn this certificate can take a national exam can become Certified Phlebotomists. This career often leads to work at a hospital, but these professionals also can work in physicians' offices or blood or plasma donation centers.

This graduate certificate aims to prepare our future faculty and academic leaders through exposure to concepts that break the mold of existing practices in higher education. Many leaders in the academic and business communities have challenged colleges and universities to embrace change to ensure the viability of the higher education enterprise. Rather than settle for the status quo and witness a probable decline in sustainability, most argue that it is time to create new models and new methods of training for the future professoriate, who will become the faculty and academic leaders of tomorrow.

Admissions Requirements
Graduate students wishing to earn the graduate certificate in Future Professoriate must be currently enrolled master's or doctoral students in any discipline or major. These individuals must have satisfied all admissions requirements to be admitted and must remain in good academic standing.

The Technical Certifcate programs prepare students for immediate entry into a career in the workforce. Technical Certificate programs require prescribed technical courses and may require general education courses, for a minimum of 9 college credits. For students who meet degree-seeking requirements, college credits earned in a Technical Certificate program are applicable toward a related Associate in Science degree; for example, the courses in the Human Resources Management Technical Certificate can be applied toward the Business Administration Associate in Science degree. Students who complete the course work prescribed in a Technical Certificate automatically will receive the certificate. The Career Certificate programs prepare students for careers directly in the workforce. The programs require prescribed technical credit courses and basic skills proficiency achieved through developmental courses. Students will receive a certificate upon completion of the Career Certificate program.

This certificate is designed to prepare students in the core of accounting and business concepts and includes all university transferrable courses. Credits earned in this program may be transferred toward an Associate in Applied Science degree in Accounting, provided the student meets the entrance requirements for the Accounting program, as well as either the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science for University Transfer.

The Cybersecurity Certificate furnishes you with both the strategic and technical knowledge to make your company more secure amidst a growing arena of threats to operations, data, and intellectual property.
