Hello Mudbugs!!

I am writing to let you all know that I am running the USMC Marathon
on the 28th of October. I am running with the American Cancer
Society's Charity Running Program. I have pledged to raise $950
towards the cause of finding a cure for cancer, but my personal goal
is to raise $5,000.

Many of us have loved ones who have dealt with cancer. Some are lucky
enough to be survivors, like my Mom, but other loved ones are claimed
by this disease, like my Aunt Marie. I dream of a day when luck is
taken out of the equation and science can save all of our loved ones
from this terrible disease. To be honest, I am running to raise money
for research that may some day save my own life.

We are a group of runners, some of us fast and some of us (me) not so
fast, but I believe our hearts are big enough to help me achieve this
goal. If you can donate, any amount at all-- think $4.50 is one day's
Frappacino, $25.00 a week's worth of indulgences-- I would be
grateful. I will run. I will finish. I will carry the hope for a
future cure with me the entire distance.

There are two ways to donate:

On-line at www.charityrunner.org. Click on "Sponsor a Runner", type
in my name Margaret Aden and you will be brought to my personal web
page. Once you are on my webpage, you can click on "Click here to
donate" and make a donation over the secure site.

By Mail: Please make checks payable to The American Cancer Society and
include my name in the memo line of the check (so they will know to
count your donation toward my personal goal). Send it to this address:

American Cancer Society- Charity Runner Program
Attn: Brook Cranford
124 Park St. SE
Vienna, VA 22180

Any support you can give to me or to the American Cancer Society is
greatly appreciated. All donations are tax deductible and some
employers have matching programs. Please check with your HR rep to
find out the details of your company's program.

Thank you all for your generosity!!

Margaret Aden

Very cool. When I get back from Atlanta I will certainly make a
donation!
The Peachtree Road Race was great by the way.
