Hey Fellows!!!

Just checking in...What is the game plan for Philly?? Who is doing
the full or Half marathon? What does everyone want to do while we are
there? Any ideas???

Let's discuss!!! It is getting close and before we know it we will be
leaving.

My last long run is this weekend for NYC!!! and then I get to taper.
I can't wait. My 1st 20 mile run was awesome. It was the best long
run I have ever had. I hope the marathon is just as smooth.

Crazy about Chicago huh!!! I am glad we decided not to run it.

I think everyone is running the half marathon. Jeff is running the
8k. I figured we might just wing it once we all get there. Does
anyone have anything that they want to be sure and do?

I want to hit up Independence Hall....see the Liberty Bell (Liberty Bell Center).....run up the steps like Rocky while playing the Rocky workout montage and some one is taking pictures (not to be too specific).  Maybe hit up Valley Forge National Park, Besty Ross Home, Congress Hall, Declaration House (where Thomas wrote), Franklin's Print Shop, National Constitution Center,

it is for a brewing companies

Also, I have just been told that the best place to get a philly cheesesteak is from a street vendor.

Also there should be plenty of places to eat around all of these tourists sights.

Just a few ideas.

How long will everyone be in town?

It looks like Jeff covered all of the site seeing.
My flight times have changed a little since I booked it.
I am arriving Thursday night at 6:48 and leaving Monday at 8:00 pm.  (It was supposed to leave at 7:00 pm).  If you guys leave earlier, I will just sit at the airport.

tim..I think you get in around the same time as me, but I can't remember.

Since we are all getting in around the same time, we can share a cab to the hotel.  The weather for the race should be great!!
Can't wait to see you guys!!

**Anyone interested in doing Disney marathon with Tim and I.  I am doing the 1/2 and full if anyone wants to do either of them.  I already have a hotel booked for tim and I, but it has 2 double beds, so let me know.  I am flying in on Friday morning, because I have to get to the expo to pick up my race packet for the 1/2 since it is on Sat.  and leaving on Monday.

Also Ashley, Mike (my boss) and Margaret (his wife) are both running Disney.  I can't remember where they are staying but that should be a fun trip for all of us.
Margaret/Mike, if you guys already have your plans, let us know what hotel you guys are staying in.  Ashley, which one are we staying in?

We are staying at the Port Orleans.  I booked it through marathon tours.com.  Sunday night in the I think it is Pleasure Island...They have a big party for all of the marathoners.  We went last year and it was a blast.

Mardi Gras marathon and 1/2 is on Feb. 24th.  I just got a email.  I am going to sign up for the 1/2.

Sweet.  I was planning on running some distance at Mardi Gras Marathon.  Another co-worker is running it as well.  We can either try and get a hotel near the start of the race or whoever wants to can stay at my place.  I'm about a 15 minute drive from the race.

All, Megan won't be able to make the Philly trip. She found out that
her job put a hold on taking vacation during that time period and she
doesn't want to try and squeeze it all in for 2 days. Just wanted to
give you a heads up Ashley, so you will have the room to yourself.
Maybe Jeff can split the room with you?
