Visit to Manipal Global Education Service wrt MS issue

Hi All,

Arun here. I am from CS 10A batch. 

I and most of the people here are facing the issue regarding this MS course that we are pursuing currently with Manipal University. We were promised for MS and we are made to study MSc-Tech. We have lost our money, time, peace.... Almost everything.

This is a very serious issue (Very Serious). So me and of my classmates have decided to visit Manipal Global Educational service office and talk to management directly regarding this issue. 

So we request everyone of you to join us and give your support. We need to work here as a whole team and not as a single entity. We have been seeing their response towards us from past 2 months (I guess). Now NO MORE. Lets break this and get a final answer.

If I am missing anyone in this mail than kindly forward it to those people too.

Hi all,

I am Mukesh from CS10A Batch.
At the time of admission I got the prospectus and in it it was "Master
of Science - Technology" and when I paid the fee, in the fee slip it
was written as "Master of Science - Technology". When I asked about
the Short form they mentioned its "M.S-Tech". But now they say its
M.Sc-Tech. Is this the same for all you guys or is it different?

Even talking to management about this issue could only get us the same
answer as Rajendra or Ravish is giving. I feel we need to take this to
court or get a legal advice.
Please let me know if I am missing something here.

I will be there on Saturday with all you guys for the Support.

PS: I joined the course because I was made to believe that it was
M.S-Tech by the MAGE People.

This link says the main difference between MS and MSc.
It is so because, when we go to Manipal, then we will be asked about the difference between these two.

For abstract of difference,

Aspirants who wish to do the M.Sc course should have done B.Sc. in any of the Science subjects.
But, those who have completed the bachelors’ in Engineering or masters’ program in Science and Humanities can do the MS program.

I too feel we need to take a legal advice. I would never have joined if they made it clear that it was MSc in the begining. B.E and MSc are considered of the same level in the companies and else where.

Hello All,
                As per enquired with pervious batch they had been conviced that its Master of Science ( MS ) Degree Course only, as their certificate also reflect the same. This is one chance we got to put our point that why you have given MS degree to previous batches which is not at all mentioned in UGC list. So we need to talk to higher management as Ravish/Rajendra not escalating this issue to higher authority. They are just doing damage control of their  miscommunication. It is great to see everyone are joining for dicussion on this Saturday in Manipal Global Education, Even I am planning to  go Manipal University in Manipal 12th November  to check with registar directly.

Here it is written that "Students who have completed BE/B. Tech in CS/ E&C/ E&E/ Bio-medical/ IS/ IT/ Telecommunications take up post-graduation courses. Students who have studied BSc/ BCA etc can join M.Sc. Tech courses. "

it would be useful to get a background about MscTech from a student/facult currently in Manipal..
