Has anyone ever seen a crash which locks up a VAXstation so hard that the
halt button doesn't give a chevron prompt?
This is my VAXstation 4000/90 on which I'm running netbsd-5 from a few
days ago. I was trying to compile pkgsrc/lang/php53 when I noticed the
LEDs (I have the leds option on in my kernel) stopped going. I
powercycled and started again, and got the same lockup.
This is where it stopped:
/bin/sh /usr/pkgsrc/lang/php53/work/php-5.3.4/libtool --silent --preserve-dup-deps --mode=compile cc -Iext/date/lib -Iext/date/ -I/usr/pkgsrc/lang/php53/work/php-5.3.4/ext/date/ -DPHP_ATOM_INC -I/usr/pkgsrc/lang/php53/work/php-5.3.4/include -I/usr/pkgsrc/lang/php53/work/php-5.3.4/main -I/usr/pkgsrc/lang/php53/work/php-5.3.4 -I/usr/pkgsrc/lang/php53/work/php-5.3.4/ext/date/lib -I/usr/local/include/libxml2 -I/usr/pkgsrc/lang/php53/work/php-5.3.4/TSRM -I/usr/pkgsrc/lang/php53/work/php-5.3.4/Zend -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/include -O1 -fgcse -fstrength-reduce -fgcse-after-reload -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/include -fvisibility=hidden -c /usr/pkgsrc/lang/php53/work/php-5.3.4/ext/date/lib/parse_date.c -o ext/date/lib/parse_date.lo
Any ideas?
Thanks,
John Klos
