Folk,

When the original Sun monitor on my old Sparcstation 2 ceased to
produce an image a few years back I replaced it with a VGA monitor
connected by an adapter cable. No problem.

I can turn the old monitor over to the recycling service on campus
but wonder whether it has any value to a collector. I don't know
the cause of failure and am not interested in compensation of course.
Merely don't want to be too hasty scrapping something which might
have value to someone.

Model GDM-1662B
Serivce code: 254BVC7
The glass measures 15.25 on the diagonal inside of the bezel.

Thanks for any reply, ... Peter E.

There's a chunk of platinum in the back of that near the tube, along with
a heap of stored high-voltage.

Would this be worth 1$, 10$, 100$? For sake of interest, what is its function.

Right oh; thanks, ... Peter E.
