I haven't figured out the IOblix baud rate issue yet, but in the meanwhile
I wanted to check out how well my A2232 would work. A strange thing (or
perhaps undocumented change) is that the ports show up as ttyB0 through
ttyB6, although /etc/ttys says that the first A2232 should be ttyA0
through A6 and the second A2232 B0 through B6. Is this intentional, and
should /etc/ttys be updated?

No, according to the comments, B? are the MultiFace Card serial ports.
But those comments are certainly wrong, and would appear to have been
wrong for 10 years. The ttyA0 is the first MultiFace Card serial port,
and ttyB0 is the first A2232 serial port.
